Ymiden 28 704, Late Evening
Location: The Bronze Boar
The young Rharnian had only recently been hired on into the venturous world of alcohol, even though he's had plenty of practice with the drinking aspect already. Being a bartender was quite different in comparison since he was required to pour the drinks, not simply drink from the mugs and glasses they were poured into. Daveth had honestly been a bit of a hard ass often since Patrick tended to be slow, if not lazy in regards to keeping the bar tidy enough in his standards as well. Quite often the Rharnian had a lot on his mind, far too much to distract him when it came to serving the drinks. Often during the earlier parts of the evening he'd be caught flirting with the ladies, just before getting them their drinks so that he might get a tip or two in profit.
Now that the bar had slowed down in activity and many of the locals had gone home, Daveth spent the rest of his evening cleaning the upstairs where the brawl ring was. Meanwhile Patrick finished wiping down the counter tops, finally, of the bar as the last few remaining customers enjoyed their drinks. In that time Pat perused the selection of drinks that were available, a little curious as to what all he could throw into a single drink. He had yet to consider the practice of mixology, but if he planned to go far in the business of alcohol; then naturally he was required to be well acquainted... with the many flavors available at his disposal.
"Plenty of wine... Koriel could be a good start." He murmured as he pulled out a bottle recently opened earlier that night off the shelf, the half filled wine bottle rested next to a clean flagon as he browsed for another selection to throw into the mix. Shimmering Koriel definitely looked strange but the taste, if he recalled, was rather sweet and delicious in comparison. So if he found something to throw that in with the mix, probably something tangy or fruity, then maybe the two would blend into a tasteful concoction someone else could enjoy. He pulled one out to glance at it with a contemplative stare, a brief shake of his head in disapproval when he read Kuwasa sprawled on the parchment label. Not the Sparkling White either... Hm... What could go well with Koriel?
He tugged another bottle halfway out to look and see the name "Appiden" next, a quite "Oo" uttered from his lips as he pulled the bottle the rest of the way out. With the cork popped out he took a whiff of the immense aroma contained, the intense smell of ripe pears and apples filled his nostrils from the lip of the bottle. Strong. Very much so in fact, something that deemed worth trying in his little creative endeavor. Patrick took rested the opened bottle next to his first choice, the Koriel first to be tilted and poured at the bottom of the flagon. He filled it only a fraction of a quarter pint, before he placed the bottle back down and reached for the other next. This time he poured more until the flagon seemed to contain that quarter, as the mixture within seemed to bubble intriguingly while he slowly pivoted the tincture. Already he could smell the rich potent flavor of sweetened ripe apple, while the beverage in the container took a more golden amber color.
He smiled a little triumphantly even though it was just a little bit of a throw together, nothing real in comparison to some of the other drinks Daveth could probably brew or mix. He took a glass from the shelf and poured his mixture within, the cup filled almost to the brim as that golden wine bubbled deliciously in the container.
