The rush of business had already boomed in as many residents of the city filled the chairs and bar stools, Patrick had ultimately been given the front since tonight would be a serious brawling tourney; therefore Daveth felt considerably more comfortable with letting Patrick 'manage' the first floor. Though the Ithecal probably meant to use that term loosely, since Patrick was still fairly new to the gig after all; and didn't quite pick up on all the aspects of serving as the bartender. It wasn't that he was necessarily bad at it in all honesty, just that he needed to stay on his toes to keep up with the rush. And perfecting that bar slide trick with mugs was still something he hadn't mastered yet either, no matter how many times he wanted to try and be a perfectionist. Practicing with that would come later though, since now he had to literally manage the drink pouring; and make sure that his fellow server delivered the right drinks to the right customers.
Damn. Managing a busy bar was hard. Daveth must've had his work cut out for him! Regardless of what he thought however, Patrick had to focus on the important job at hand. Drinks. So many beverages to pour and some of them, actually quite a number, were something a little different from the norm. Most Rharnian's could easily outright say what the hell they wanted or were just happy to be given a drink, however there were those in the clusters that had requests for more particular stuff. "Make something spicy," or "I want something packed with flavor," or even "Pour me a Thunderstorm," which in general was just a concoction of a heavy ass drink. Usually nothing but a shit load of alcohol poured into one glass or mug, Patrick had to learn just how much was too much before it would be considerably alcohol poisoning; and even then the drink still knocked any strong drinking Rharnian flat on their ass.
"Oy!" One such Rharnian flagged Patrick down as he walked down along the bar to provide another request; speaking of which. "I want somethin' saltier than me wife's cunt after a good fekkin'!" The very drunken and thundered man requested with a intense slur, Patrick's eyes merely widened at the analogy as he tried to refrain from a bit of laughter.
"Salty eh? One stiff drink comin' up." He mused a little anxiously as he nodded to the man, therefore quickly moved to the cabinet where the drinks are. He couldn't help but wonder what on Idalos made this customer come up with such a... expressive request, save for the fact he had to be plastered some of the drinks he requested earlier. Okay then. So to mix this 'salty' beverage somehow, probably with a bit of vodka since that stuff seemed usually stiff. But what else could he add for that kind of flavor? Shit... He was definitely a little puzzled now. The bartender had to consider what they had in stock, and mull over flavors that seemed to have that initial 'pop' he needed to look for. Immediately he considered Stone Creek but there was more flavor than salt, as well as a minor hint of spice as though pepper were involved.
So... maybe a hint of that would do, but perhaps with one other mix in the equation also. He looked from the wine cabinet over to the one next, a bit more thought put into the idea of just a general drink. Rum perhaps? It generally had a smokey quality to it but a sweet one also, maybe just a portion of that would add into the mixture. With his hands used to grab the different bottles required, two in his left and one in his right, Patrick moved over to the mixing table and placed them down individually, a clean mug placed in his work space as he took one last moment to think. Vodka was the stiffer of the two so he poured the wine first, the red bubbly liquid fizzed as it filled the container just by a small portion.
After about a third of the way filled he rested the bottle down and poured the rum into it next, the alcoholic mixture bubbled even more as the two joined into one solution. And then the vodka came next; a nice amount to fill the mug the rest of the way from half the container. The drink had turned from a vibrant ruby red to a very dark crimson color, now that the three separate beverages were added into one sharp mixture. Hopefully one with that 'salty' aspect the man requested, although that would soon be waited to discover once the mug handled to be given to the customer in question.
