In the Earth Quarter in Rharne was an area of vacant land that had been converted into a complex of planting boxes. Boxes are outlined with wooden planks or, the bigger ones, with wooden fences. There is a multitude of things grown here, everything from herbs, to flowers, to vegetables. The boxes range in size from 3x3 meters to 9x9 meters and are rented by the season. The smaller boxes are intended more for small plants like herbs, while the larger boxed may house a small vegetable garden. It allows citizens of Rharne to have a small garden without having to purchase a large swath of farmland. Please keep in mind what can realistically be fit into these areas.

Gregory Plains is an older man with grey and white hair and a scruffy beard. He had kind brown eyes and is known as the gardening guru of Rharne. Although those who rent land are expected to provide upkeep on their own crops, Gregory works to keep the whole area tidy and occasionally helps out when advice is needed or if a renter is absent for health or unexpected travel.
Tucked within the reaches of the Dust Quarter quite a ways from the wall and the ire of the Lightning Knights, there exists a rundown and somewhat well kept lot the people have named The Pit. It's a place with few rules and even fewer people who actually care to keep it organized, the only rules that are loosely enforced here are Rharne's regular laws the citizens follow. Beyond that however its every man for himself within the pit, if someone insults you and you want to publicly humiliate them? Take them down in the pit. Somebody asking for a bloodied broken nose? Take them to the pit.
The Pit is nothing more than just a man made pin that could've likely been used for farming once, now however it can be used to not only beat up others and challenge locals, but there is even a chance for people to fight against creatures brought in from the wilds. Though these types of spectacles require payment in order to take place, and when the challenger in question tells the trapper what they wish to fight, they need only wait until a certain period of trials before that creature is finally brought in. From there everyone in the quarter will gather to watch the battle as it goes down, while the challenger faces his conquest in a fight to the death against the creature.
The Pit is a public place open to all but deemed unsafe when nighttime falls, and there is no charge to hold brawls or spar here with others. There are two types of events that a person can arrange in the pits, one is the Pit Runs and the other is Blood Pit. Pit Runs are safer and cheaper compared to Blood Pit but are more for embarrassment on the contender, and amusement on behalf of the audience. Blood Pits are the real challenges contenders and audiences both enjoy, as the contender is pitted against a local wildlife captured by the curators.
Pit Runs
Chickens (1 SN) - Simple run that involves the torment of chickens, slaughter can be done with a dagger or barehanded. A single silver will pay for a total of four chickens in the event. Timed event that lasts two bits.
Snakes (5 SN) - Simple run that involves the slaying of snakes, slaughter can be with a dagger or barehanded. A single payment provides a litter of ten snakes, some poisonous and some not. Timed event that lasts five bits.
*List is bound to grow with more fauna added later, have anything to contribute? PM a mod!
Blood Pit
Boars (5 GN) - A fight against two boars released individually in the Pit, slaughtered by however the contestant chooses. Timed event that lasts ten bits.
Bobcats (10 GN) - A fight against two wildcats released individually in the Pit, slaughtered by however the contestant chooses. Timed event that lasts ten bits.
Wolves (20 GN) - A fight against two wolves released individually in the Pit, slaughtered by however the contestant chooses. Timed event that lasts fifteen bits.

Brutus is as tall and large as they come in terms of his heritage, a 6.6 ft tall man well built with scars labelled all across his body. He's quiet and blunt in terms of quality socialism but is all business when it comes to The Pit, always ready to issue his services as a wildlife hunter to bring entertainment to the arena.
Shayla is Brutus' partner when it comes to running The Pit and while she may not be as intimidating and imposing as he is, she can definitely hold her own when it comes to scraps and hunting parties. She is quick and agile on her feet with an astounding expertise in blades, and knows enough about poisons to create concoctions for easier captures of creatures for the pit. Shayla is rather loud and prone to outbursts that would be unbecoming of a woman, rather rash and callow in regards to those that would ask for her services. Such is the reason why she leaves the talking to Brutus, as she tends to be harsh when social graces are involved.

The Thunder Den, or simply the Den, is a forge and training ground that is open to the public, with a variety training dummies and targets to help train those interested in learning combat. For those with the volition to learn they need only seek the great stone entranced carved into part of the mountain, located within the Earth Quarter just underneath the steps that lead up to the Glass Quarter. It is a place commonly used as a training grounds for Knights aside from their barracks, as it is fitted with an outlet underneath the main chamber; serving as an obstacle course for those who wish to develop agile skills as well. When one has located the entrance to the Den they will be greeted with two great stone pillars with blazing torches on top, and the halls are lined with tapestries dedicated to the Thunder Priests and Lightning Knights.
As one enters the main antechamber they will find that the room is large with a netted ring to spar in, weapon racks are stationed all throughout the chamber with only wooden weapons for safety measure. Each and every weapon his well oiled and daily maintained for practices, and should such a weapon break from wear and tear then another can shortly be supplied afterwards. The proprietors of the Den are all veterans of specific combat styles and keep the place up and running, and are more than willing to teach what they know to learning individuals for a modest fee of course.
Deeper into the Den there exists a staircase that will spiral downward and lead one into the lower works, where knights will frequent the place with their squires for a run through the course. The course though small and compact is meant to test the agility of squires in training to be knights, but anybody who doesn't mind a proper beating is allowed to run the course at their own volition. When one does the course they will find themselves facing obstacles that are meant to drop, fling, trip, and even push the runner as they pass; every obstacle is carved out of wood and may can pivot, rotate, and dangle to test that runner's reflexes on the track.

The Gauntlet
When one enters the lower reaches of the Den they will find themselves able to challenge The Gauntlet, an obstacle course that is meant to help individuals train and improve their Strength, Endurance, and Agility skills. It is a course meant to test the will of the challenger as each point of the track focuses on separate training regimes.
A.- The starting point of the track, with portions of the floor dipped lower than the other. One must watch their step lest they trip in crossing this simple part. B.- Roped ladders are knotted to a large post to climb up to, the ladders will twist under the challenger and test their strength. C.- A ramp runs down from the post into a section littered with wooden decoys decorated with limps to test agility. One has to run through these decoys with as minimal contact as possible. D.- Wood is stacked in elaborate piles that allows only enough space for the contestant to crawl through, testing their endurance as they work their way through tight spaces. E.- Once the contestant has wormed out of Point D they'll find a netted rope for them to climb, a testament to the remainder of strength they have as they climb over a man made wall. F.- The last point to reach as the netted rope from Point E must be used to climb over to Point F, the height isn't dangerous but to fall would require one to restart at Point E. When Point F has been reached then the challenger has completed the gauntlet.
Complete a full crash course in thread? Great! Choose to add an additional 2 points to either Acrobatics, Endurance, or Strength!

Rolan is the oldest of the three instructors that run things in The Den; he is a solid and rigid fellow at the peak of his form, standing at a sterling 7 ft height with a well chiseled form. He is calm and observant when it comes to others and apt to provide insight from time to time, and is the proud embodiment of a retired warrior hopeful to pass his wisdom down to the next generation.
Clarissa is a stern but agreeable woman who tends to prefer things her way, usually a little critical in regards to those training under her instruction. Nevertheless she is a woman who knows what she teaches and typically means well, as anybody can see she's too cautious in trusting others. She hides it well but deep down she cares for people, and those that become her students are taught the value of trust in companions above all.
Nole is the other instructor that is more commonly sought out by aspiring knights or squires, as he once trained under a knight for a time until he found himself a different path to walk. Rather than protect those around him Nole decided teaching people to protect themselves would be even better, and so he joined Rolan and Clarissa when they first established the Thunder Den. While he can teach combat skills like the others Nole is often found in the lower levels, as he tends to The Gauntlet when those come to participate in its course.

Situated just near the great stony stairs that takes locals and pilgrims upward to the Sky Quarter, lies a large rounded landmark carved from the very same stone of that staircase. That landmark is known as the Lightning Dome; an arena meant to bring spectacles and shows to the people of Rharne. Sometimes there are tourneys, other times there are plays. The Lightning Dome is a place meant to bring fun and excitement to the drunken people, and has become a secondary pulse to the city itself in terms of life. The proprietors of the Lighting Dome work hard to keep the place neat and tidy, and while it has a large enough seating area for crowds to watch, the barracks below are large enough to shelter forty men if the time came.
The barracks are directly underneath the arena itself and broken into two sections, one is the combat preparation area where combatants can get a little bit of practice in with training dummies. There also exists a forge where the other proprietor works as the armorer, able to repair and restore any weapons or armor damaged in the arena. Then the other is the resting area where combatants can sit and wait for their next round, or rest and wash up after an arduous round within the arena.

As the main proprietor for the Lightning Dome Markus handles the upkeep of the arena for whatever events are hosted. He the only founder of the Dome that still lives, and has spent his entirety of his life working there. He is a confident and proud man who is always happy to strike a conversation, happy to indulge in the spirits of wine and alcohol like any other Rharnian. However when time comes he has to work as a caretaker for any injured contestant he immediately becomes serious, keen on using sharp intellect to do whatever needs to be done to patch up the injured individual. He also serves as the announcer when spectacles are occurring, coordinating much of the event behind the scenes while serving as the face of the arena. He is a man with many secrets and tricks up his sleeve, shrouding him to be a man of mystery to many.
Toby Hynes
Race: Human DoB: Ashan 44 683 Title: Proprietor/Armorer Skills: Endurance 40, Leather Working 60, Sewing 50, Smithing 80, Strength 40
Much like Markus; Toby is another proprietor who does more behind the scenes without dealing with the crowds. He is the heavy duty worker of the arena, unafraid to get his hands dirty whenever it becomes necessity. Trained as an apprentice blacksmith in his younger days, Toby took up duties as the second proprietor later when Markus required assistance with armor. Now after a number of years under Markus' wing, Toby lives and works daily to help with the upkeep of the Lightning Dome. He is quiet compared to Markus but one can see he has a gentle nature, and a passion when it comes to working the forge down in the barracks of the Lightning Dome.

The Flying Moon is an inn located in the Glass Quarter. It's fashioned from yellow brick and red timbers with a red tile roof and white pane windows. From the outside it looks like a main building with an adjoining building on either side. The main building is four floors tall while the adjoining buildings are three stories. Outside is a cobblestone street and behind it is a very well-kept barn where patrons can stable their horses.
The bottom floor of the main building is a common area with mahogany bar top and several matching stools. There are several wooden tables lined with silver runners. The lighting is provided by crystal chandeliers and candelabras mounted against the walls. Often times a bard or a musician is employed to entertain the guests. They serve every kind of liquor as well as a special drink that many patrons swear is spiked with a drug.
The next two floors and all the floors in the adjoining buildings are rooms. Each room boasts a four poster bed with deep navy and silver linens. The mattresses are luxurious feather stuffed. There is a wardrobe, a copper tub, a vanity, table and chairs, ensuite toilet, fireplace, writing desk, and a bedside table. Each room has a window with navy curtains and the room is lighted with candelabras and a lantern.
The fourth floor in the main building houses the Moon Suite. It it more spacious than the other rooms, though decorated in the same fashion with the same furniture. What makes the room so special is that there is a circular window built into the roof that allows for a perfect view of the night sky and moon.

The Harpy inn didn't get its name by chance. Rumors pervading the tavern say that the proprietor named it after his deceased mother that was said to be a grasping woman who was entirely unpleasant in every way. The outside is made of rough stone and wooden beams. The sign outside the door is a a dark profile silhouette of what is believed to be the proprietor's mother. The common area is simple with several wooden tables and stools, a small bar, and communal fireplace, and a small inset raised platform for performances. Behind is a simple stable that is not very often used.
The top two floors are full of rooms for rent. There are standard rooms with a straw mattress bed, a bedside table, a fireplace, ensuite toilet, and a locked chest. The bedding and the curtains are in deep wines and grays. An upgraded room includes all the features of the standard room along with a dresser, vanity, copper tub and a writing desk. Each room has a single window.
The inn is nothing like the finer establishments of the Glass Quarter and the common rooms can be as rowdy as taverns. It is a decent establishment, though far from fancy, and is suitable for most common travelers.

The wine does not have a high alcohol content and is more often used for fast acting drunkenness than enjoyment. The taste is quite bitter, though most seem to enjoy it.

Since its opening in arc 660, with the help of family wealth, the patrons have been whispering about his mother and how she was a shrill woman who was highly unpleasant and that Arthur frequently referred to her as 'The Harpy' in private. Even since her death, talk continues. Arthur stands at 5'11" with thinning white hair and a scruffy white beard. He is always dressed nicely and has intense brown eyes. He is more serious than most proprietors but the frequent patrons know a different side of Arthur. They say he takes time to warm up and trust people.
Dalton Yulis
Race: Mixed Blood DoB: 42 Ashan 692 Title: Barkeep Skills: 65 Brewing, 55 Vinting, 45 Persuasion, 40 Seduction, 40 Business Management
Dalton is an attractive man standing at 6'1" with lightly tanned skin, medium length messy brown hair, and hazel eyes. He came to work at The Harpy in arc 710 and has moved up from a simple server to the barkeep in charge of all the employees and controller of the books. He is a very chatty person, pulling knowledge out of thin air about almost anything. He also uses his experience in seduction to convince ladies to spend more money than they might ought to. His real knowledge lies in brews and wine. Rumor says Arthur is grooming him.
Celina stands at 5'4" weighing a small 110lbs and is well-known for being a bit of a temptress. Her long blonde hair is often askew and disheveled, a fact that seems to work in her favor. She has pale blue eyes that are always on fire with lust. She started at The Harpy in arc 711. She can talk about just about anything and is not afraid to schmooze up to men and women with her talents in seduction. It's how she had managed to do so well for herself. She is in charge of all the other barmaids but they have a hard time taking her seriously.
I decided we needed a few shops that people can roleplay buying their stuff from rather than just posting about a generic shop, so I'll be working on a few of them.
Sarah's Silks
Sarah's Silks is a classy tailor's shop housed within the Glass Quarter. It was believed to be founded sometime around arc 650, but the history of it varies depending on who is telling it. This is because it has changed ownership several times but has largely remained the same in looks and what is offered, with only maintenance and a few upgrades to decor showing that it has ever changed at all. Everyone knows that the original owner was Sarah Hemsley, though the story of her life and the other owners that followed her are always different.
The outside of the establishment looks like a every other building on the street, made of polished wood and stone. The only clue that it is different from the surrounding buildings is the painted sign outside broadcasting the name of the establishment and large bay windows on the front that allow a view of the contents within.
Inside are polished wood floors and several cushioned couches and chairs that are made up a dark mahogany wood and gold velvet. There are also several small circular wooden tables, some housing ornate structures of lighting or pretty vases always filled with fresh flowers. Chandeliers hang from the ceiling and along all the walls are endless amounts of mahogany shelves and drawers. Stacked on the shelves are bolts of all the available fabrics and inside the drawers are the seamstress and tailor tools along with decorative and essential hardware. On the right wall are three doors, each housing a small room with a full length mirror for changing. In the corner are stacked several very small wooden stools and next to it a long table for measuring out and cutting fabric.
Sarah's Silks only makes the finest garments and works with only Organza fabric and above.

August Button
Race: Human DoB: 31 Ymiden 646 Title: Owner/Master Tailor Skills: Sewing 65, Leather Working 55, Business Management 50, Persuasion 45
August Button has been interesting in sewing since he was a little boy. While other nobles' young boys were learning the arts of aristrocracy or even taking up manlier professions, August was sewing fabric and working leather. He became one of the most notable Glass Quarter tailors in arc 671 at a young age. He had started off working out of his small flat in the Glass Quarter and eventually purchased Sarah's Silks from the previous owner who had fallen ill and didn't have a suitable heir to leave it to. August is short in stature at 5'7" and weighs around 125 lbs. He has a thinning hairline, and gray and white hair that is always neatly combed back. He always wears a finely tailored silk blouse, with velvet pants, and a matching velvet tunic. He has always been considered a fashionable man. Although very talented, he is a quiet genius and generally leaves dealing with the customers to others.
Bahati is a Biqaj with smooth dark skin. She stands tall at 5'10" and weighs around 140 lbs. Her black hair is kept cut close to her head, nearly a clean shave. As a Biqaj she has always been talented with her hands and started sewing to assist her family income at a young age. She had a head for numbers and is good at taking measurements and calculating the total fabric needed to make a garment. As a Biqaj in a nomadic family, she had many stories and is very good at keeping the customers entertained while she works with them.
Dafari is a man with tan skin and dark hair, standing at 6'0" and weighing 160 lbs of pure muscle. He apprenticed to a tanner and leather worker when he was 16 arcs and strong enough to do the physical labor. As a Biqaj he has always been talented with his hands and picked up the craft very quickly. By 23 arcs he owned his own small tanning and leather working shop in the Dust Quarter. His talent didn't go unnoticed. Soon his work became of such high quality that August hired him on at Sarah's Silks to help with the leather garments and began teaching him how to sew. He is mirthful and very talkative, often speaking of the processes of leather working and tanning.
