Kali laughed softly, sipping her tea with a small nod, indicating that he of course had a point. The song request could see him sing to her a child's nursery rhyme and the Sev'ryn wouldn't have a clue, yet it wouldn't matter. The brunette found his home language fascinating, a secretive piece of Pash that that gave her a little thrill, as though just by coaxing him to speak it she was understanding more about him. It was another unique thing about the bard that she had held close since the Worlds End, along with his stormy shifting eyes.
"True, I wouldn't have a clue, but then that's part of the enjoyment. I get to imagine what you might be singing about." Setting down her tea, the brunette turned toward the sea-hardened musician to give him her full attention, resting one arm on the ground slightly behind her with the other draped across her knees. Watching his fingers pick out a tune, Kali smiled at the almost gentle notes that came forth. The music made her feel things, strangely indescribable things that gave her a sort of shivery feeling on the back of her neck. He was extremely talented with the instrument and as his voice lifted to join the song with the Rakahi words, the huntress tilted her head slightly to rest it on her shoulder, listening to the foreign words with a smile. She didn't understand a bar of it, but the soft tune made her get goosebumps, the hair on her arms raising slightly with a tingling sensation. Her periwinkle gaze shifted between the movement of his fingers and the sunkissed Biqaj's face, watching his movements and expression as the song played out, enjoying the mystery of the meaning as well as the exotic beauty of it. The sailor was quiet, as not to disturb those in the township that might be close enough to hear, but it only leant a certain intimacy to the moment. A private performance just for her.
When the song ended, Kali smiled back at him, before reaching to take up her that had now become cool enough to drink with ease. Again, she laughed at his words, sipping the beverage with a shake of her head.
"Lot's of ropes, I'm sure." She said with another chuckle, fairly certain the slight flush of colour to his stubbled cheeks spoke to something a little more interesting than that. Either that, or the fact that she'd asked him to play in the seclusion own little nook of the world may have made him feel self conscious.
That really didn't seem like it would be the case though.
Taking a few moments to finish her tea, the brunette shifted again to sit up, hands toying with the cup and eyes shifting down to look at it with a slight blush.
"Fair trade, yes I think you could say that. Thank you Pash, it was very beautiful, for a song about fish and ropes and...such. Smiling at the cup, she teetered on the edge of more words, fighting back a sudden surge of shy hesitation. Taking a deep breath, the Sev'ryn tossed the last dregs of tea at the low burning fire and moved to stand with a stretch.
"I have to say, this has been the most eventful first full moon of the season I've ever had. I think, I can safely say that it's also probably been the most meaningful." Twisting her hands together nervously, the brunette looked at the fire.
"You know, its very late. Probably too late to walk all the way back to the docks, might be unsafe...or something." Turning her eyes back to her hands, the Sev'ryn spoke quietly.
"You're welcome to stay here...with me...if you like?" Kali finally turned her eyes on the sunkissed bard, swallowing before rushing on with another shrug.
"Of course, you don't have to. I know you didn't really feel comfortable with this whole camping thing at the moment and of course you've been working all night so you might just want to go and get some sleep in your own bed and that's all okay I just figured I'd ask because you're here and it wouldn't bother me at all. There's room for two..uh...in my tent and...bedroll." Kali finished lamely, wanting to find the nearest rock to hide under in her embarrassment, wishing she could be as charming and casual as the Biqaj. She shot him a smile, hoping he had actually understood her offer in all that rambling.
