It wasn't fancy or well furnished. In fact, it was a large room with a line of tables across it. Seated at those tables were people, citizens of Scalvoris who were taking donations and volunteer details. Behind them, in the large space, healers and volunteers moved, finding equipment and supplies, or taking them to inventory them. It was a very organised operation, which no one who knew the people involved would find surprising. Efficiency, after all, saves lives.
Fundamentally, everyone knew what had happened - there had been an awful situation on the Docks and an entire area had been destroyed. People were missing, dead and injured, buildings were utterly decimated - some of which were homes. No one knew yet just what the death toll was, nor the count of the injured, but the relief effort was underway.
Scalvoris Council had matched the donation given by Isonomia, the charity faction associated with Cally's and the Councillor for Welfare, Faith Augustin was in charge of the relief effort. Here, the volunteers were accepting donations. Some of those were donations of money, others of items such as blankets, medical supplies, things like that and, hopefully, they were getting people coming in and volunteering their time. THAT was what was needed. Time and effort from those who could give it.
Each individual was welcomed with a friendly, efficient smile and details taken. No matter whether it was the donation of a blanket from a child or of a vast sum or money or time. Everyone who donated throughout those trials, their name was taken and noted. Later, after all, it would be important to remember those people and thank them.
Ok - so this thread is a sort of "sign up" - please complete the form below, post it here. If you manage 1,500 words there, you can get it reviewed (but as a solo) - either way, this is an Impact Thread for Scalvoris - so if you only do one post here (of over 250 words) and deduct items / money from your ledger, then you will be part of that. However, if you want to be involved in the relief effort as a pc - indicate so and we'll do a thread or you can do a solo / collab with other volunteers in order to push the relief effort along! Obviously, if you're donating time, that will need to be represented in at least one thread.
