With the escalation of hostilities between Etzos and Rhakros, a series of small walled towns is being established as a network of early warnings and defenses against Rhakros' reprisals. Only the very bravest and most formidable of characters should risk themselves on the Witches' Wilds frontier.

[Foster's Landing]Fast Carriages and Beautiful Ladies

Breathing in deep the salt air, Gangui ambled through the streets as he reflected on the recent events that had been occurring in the Landing. There had been a lot of action and fury, but no time to think. The soft clink and clatter of the fully armored warrior walking was nearly drowned out by the rustling wind blowing the poplar trees planted along the main corridor of the town.

Leaning up against one of the poplar's outside the state’s tower, Gangui took a long, cool drink from his water sack. The trials and tribulations occurring in Etzos were disturbing to say the least. Raised by patriots, the rose tinted glasses of his childhood were smashed by the fury of Ashan’s civil unrest. His hopes of escaping the clutches of tyranny were pounded into dust by the brutal retribution of the state upon its people. Things only got worst and it seemed like nothing was being done. Despite all this, he knew there were good people left both among the commoners and those in the Citadel.

A servant girl seemed to be struggling bringing a basket of freshly clean linens towards the state’s tower. Perking up, Gangui strode forward relieving her of her load, as usual empathizing with the common folk.

“I got you miss, don’t worry, I’ll follow you,” He smiled at her as best he could under his mustache, making small talk along the way, trying to make her feel more comfortable around his large, iron-bound stature.

The girl pushed open the tower’s door and Gangui held it open with a iron foot before handing her the basket again, “Alright, run along now, I’ll see you around,”

His eyes darted up the moment he sensed the presence of two big breasts. An innate ability to all red-blooded men, Gangui could spot a beautiful bosom from a mile away. Naturally he was curious as to who they belonged to. She was an elegant woman of good stock, with a seductive red dress revealing her feminine form, but hiding all the best parts. Even though he had seen her for merely a moment on the far side of the building, he could still smell the beautiful scent lingering around the antechamber.

Instinct made him draw a step into the tower to go talk to her, but at the that very moment a gauntleted hand spun him around. It was an Etzorsi guardsman kicking him off the property in sharp Ith’ession.

Thus, Gangui left the tower with one thing on his mind: the woman with the big boobs and red dress . He was resolved to get to know her, he wanted to feel her soft skin. He had been fighting and working and drinking for far too long and just the mere sight of her, left his loins ready to explode.

Rushing back to the port-side bar, a place where the good ol’ boys of Etzos drank and ate, he woke up the drunken bard, “Brandon, I have seen the most beautiful woman in all the land! Quick, come with me!” He shoved the man’s lute in his hands, though Brandon protested and wouldn’t move until he drank some water and rum and had a slice of bread. The bard highly doubted Gangui’s words, but the warrior insisted so the bard obliged.

Several people from the bar who overheard the story of the noble women, also too made their way to the tower. The whispering began: Where was their ship? Who were they and were did they come from? Why were they leaving so quickly? A small crowd began to form, expecting a herald to announce what was going on, but none had appeared yet.

Gangui leaned into Brandon, “Look, follow my lead, I am going to make a move on the woman, you come in behind and play some music that makes her want me,”

The bard raised an eyebrow, almost rebuking the warrior, then laughed shaking his head, “Gangui the ever-so-bold!”

An exquisite carriage rolled up, a wagon of the likes that Gangui and the citizens had never seen before. The crowd began to point at it, erupting in dialogue. It was made from the finest lumber in Etzos, intricately carved by artists in the Citadel. The driver sat alone atop it with several wooden levers at his side. The axles of the vehicle were the most advanced technology that they had ever seen: the front and back wheels moved independently from each other and could be locked into place by the levers. Several metal "leafs" were placed under the carriage for suspension to cushion the bumpy ride through the primitive roads back to Etzos. The wheels were made out of an unknown substance and where knotted and pitted for maximum traction. One of the citizens mentioned that the carriage was a definite product of the magic transmutation. Last, but not least, the carriage was being pulled by three strong horses.

"Boy! Would you look at that!? Huzzzah!" Gangui exclaimed as they inspected the carriage, "I'll have one of those one day, I swear it!"

Finally the two Vice queens exited the state's building with their retainer-slaves carrying their luggage. Gangui slapped Brandon's chest and nodded towards Tanvi, "That's her... on me,"

"Wow, you weren't kidding," Brandon's jaw dropped as marched next to Gangui, "But, the soldiers--"

Several things happened at the same moment; One of the carriage guards began to stride forward to stop the fully-armored warrior and lute playing bard in their tracks. The handful of shouting citizens on the other side of the wagon began to push closer to be greeted by the guards. A man with a covered mask darted under the line of soldiers and bounded toward's the Vice Queen's luggage. The Bard stepped up to block off the guard, giving the warrior a moment to get through. Gangui spotted the thief who snatched Tanvi's suitcase.

Instincts kicked in when Gangui found himself as the last man in the weasel's path. Using his combat footwork, he tackled the lad just as he was about to make a break for it. Brutal in nature, he grabbed the thief's arm and tugged him up. With the other hand he relinquished the piece of luggage. The guard from earlier stepped up and put hands on the criminal. There was plenty of shouting going on too.

Completely focused on Tanvi though, Gangui wasted not a moment before approaching her. Brandon the Bard behind him playing a lovely tune on the lute. He knew that he had only a moment to make a first impression before being dragged away by soldiers. With the best voice he could manage, Gangui smiled under a dapper mustache, a soft chuckle, and twinkling blue eyes.

Stopping at a respectful distance to Tanvi and with the Bard's lute playing, "Dropped something, my lady? My name is Gangui, what's yours?"

[Foster's Landing]Fast Carriages and Beautiful Ladies

The initial encounter between the two of them had been brief and the Vice Queen had practically ignored Gangui. She had been in the building, talking with Lagolla about organizing a carriage to Etzos. She shifted to the other hip and the strap of her dress fell off one shoulder. She absently fixed it as she continued to talk in heavily accented common. Lagolla did not miss a beat and followed her fingers every step of the way.

Gangui had been brushed aside as quickly as possible and the door was shut as unceremoniously on his face.

The next break was spent preparing. Once the doors opened again and the Vice Queens stepped out of the building, the city had become a mad house. Women looked and gossiped and the strange dresses they wore. It was strange fashion and both women seemed to be on the opposite side of the spectrum. Men oogled Tanvi while Odessa simply kept her head and eyes up. She did not want them to find her pretty. Wrath wanted them to fear her. Tanvi wanted them to love her. Polar opposites.

Odessa had, thankfully, already climbed into the carriage. Had she been out to see the thief attempt to get away with some of their luggage, there would have been a public whipping in Foster's Landing. The armored man had rescued her luggage right before her very eyes. It was certainly chivalrous. Tanvi made little note of the bard's playing. Music was Casia's forte, not hers. It was simply a distraction.

"Thank you Ser Gangui. I am sure Vice Queen Wrath would not have approved if I had lost our generous gifts to High Marshal Parhn," Tanvi reached forward to take the bag from Gangui, handing it over to one of her slaves to be placed atop the carriage. While the slaves finished loading the luggage, Tanvi decided to pay Gangui some attention.

"I am Tanvi, Augiery's Vice Queen of Diplomacy. We have come to Foster's Landing and Etzos to admire the city and discuss relations with your leader. I will certainly have to pass on your heroic tale for having helped me today. I have little on my person, but take these as a token of my appreciation."

Tanvi reached up to pluck one of the red lilies from her hair. She held it out to him to take. When he reached for it she would be quick, placing a polite and chaste kiss upon his cheek. His whiskers tickled her face.

"Tanvi! Berandu izango gara!"

"Datozenak!"

The encounter was brief, but memorable. Gangui would be left in the building dust as the carriage pulled away with a little color on his cheek and a vibrant red lily in his hands.

"Tanvi! Berandu izango gara!" - "Tanvi! We will be late!"
"Datozenak!" - "Coming!"

[Foster's Landing]Fast Carriages and Beautiful Ladies

Vhalar 20, 717

A new feeling seemed to emanate from inside of Gangui; when he received the kiss from Tanvi something moved deep within, but the dense warrior didn't realize anything at first. A smile beamed ear to ear as he watched the subtly erotic movements from the Vice Queen of Lust, whose dress hugged her perfect curves and round bosom. He couldn't talk, everything else drowned out except for the vibrant colors of everything around him. Brandon the Bard was already trying to create a new song to remember this event, the music seemed to vibrate in a way he had never experienced before . Tanvi's fragrance remained, along with the lily she presented him with and the colorful lipstick on his cheek. Long after the super-carriage had fallen off the edge of the horizon, Gangui still stared into the distance, at peace among all the hoopla.

Brandon the Bard shook the barbarian's shoulder and in that instant everything went back to as they were before. The colors went dull, words and voices didn't sound so rich before. His shimmering blue eyes returned back to icy dull marbles they were before. Immediately, rage filled his soul and the thought that he would probably be dead in battle before he saw the most beautiful Tanvi ever again immediately dawned upon him. Even in the middle of all commotion, Gangui's brutal instincts kicked in and he sought to blame someone for what had happened.

"This man deserves to die!" a guttural growl escaped his lips. The frown on his face, pushed the veins in his neck bulging out in anger and sadness, "He stole from good Tanvi! Fuck this guy, he did it in front of everyone's face! Look at him! He even looks like a scondrel! Let's kill him now!"

The guardsman holding the thief drew blade and pushed the crowd away, "Back away! He will stand trial--"

"Look, look at his face and hands!" A bald citizen yelled as he stepped up, "He's been tooting Shell's Head and he's a known Spring Slam user!" The thief spat at the bald citizen and hissed, "Look at him, he's been using for years and years, he is completely broken,"

Gangui raised his hand, waving Tanvi's lily at the guard, staring at him in the eyes in defiance, "We hang him now! He made Etzos look like a bunch of shit-pig-fucks in front of the emissaries of a foreign nation!"

Many people agreed, but none else would stand up to this guard except for the warrior. Unfortunately, no matter how mad Gangui was, the guard would not budge and eventually the crowd dispersed and the thief was thrown into a holding cell to be sentenced by the state at a later time.

In the twilight of midnight

Sorrow filled Gangui's eyes and tears almost fell down his cheeks. If only the action of crying hadn't been beaten out of him by his father, he would have wept.

Torch in one hand and bastard-sword in other, the armored man glittered in the cloudy night; he had pinned Tanvi's lily on his chain-mail collar, her kiss still on his cheek. The noble smell of justice was a mixture of tar in the salty air. Behind Gangui were mob of people, maybe four or five including Brandon the Bard, all who had witnessed the crime that day. Aggressively walking up to the jailer's door, Gangui rapped gauntleted knuckles on the heavy-wooden door.

Worked up about the occasion at the bar, they concluded that not only was it righteous to kill the thief for his action, but also better for society that they removed a drug addict from their great emancipated society; they also all agreed that the state was too corrupt during these times to do anything about it. It was time to take matters into his own hand. Their reactions may have seemed extreme to the average citizen, but Gangui's experience with Tanvi had effected that which would normally be slight disgust and turned it into full blown anger. Rallying some of the more courageous men at the bar was easy enough, for there was solid justification and no contrasting arguments (not to mention a few shots of rum as well).

The bronze framed door opened to the blurry-eyed jailer who immediately knew what this was all about. Allowing for the mob to retrieve the thief, the jailer went back to bed knowing there was nothing he could do about it.

Vhalar 21, 717

Gangui sat at the pub eating the traditional breakfast of the Landing, grilled fish and Etzorsi blood sausage. Grease leaked down his chops as he ate with fervor and the hunger of several men. Tanvi's kiss was gone now. Brooding over the table with picked his teeth with dirty finger nails. A lute played in the background as the bard practiced his song about the beauty and terror of Augery's queens.

When he was done, the Etzos patriot belched and stood to sulking feet and walked up to a twenty foot tall timber beam that had been erected hastily in the open street between the bar and the harbor. A small whispering crowd had gathered there, but regardless he climbed up the ladder with a sign in his hand. Several moment's of pounding later, the wooden placard was nailed above the tarred and feathered corpse which hung there.

The sign read in Ith'ession:

"Here hangs the man who stole from the Lady of Lilies and insulted Etzos' honor,"

    Overview

Gangui is ridiculous but in a good way. You had a few parts that made me laugh, like, "An innate ability to all red-blooded men, Gangui could spot a beautiful bosom from a mile away." and "He had been fighting and working and drinking for far too long and just the mere sight of her, left his loins ready to explode." xD What the heck. lol This was a lighthearted read and I enjoyed it. I think the only criticism I would have was where they say, "Fuck this guy". Something about it didn't feel like it fit into the setting, but I can't quite put my finger on it. Other than that, good job.
