Other Information: Maron Fryar was built like a weasel, long and lean, and served as a raider with the Crows. He joined the mercenary band out of a combination of a lingering sense of obligation to the city and the promises of glory Duan wove. Eager to prove himself to the company he was swift to volunteer and found himself serving as a forward scout for the Crows; often burdened with working directly with the new blood, his skill at navigation an asset in the featureless grasslands.
A raid in Vhalar 817 resulted in a heavily-outnumbered Maron falling back from his position, against the orders of Ryeth. The old man was not impressed and beat him before the rest of the company, left him wheezing for trials. Maron’s enthusiasm for all things mercenary came to an abrupt and bitter end, along with his respect for his commander and the grudge only deepened with each passing season.
He has taken to spreading rumours that Ryeth was responsible for Duan’s death in an effort to undermine the older man and will warn any new recruits of Ryeth’s treachery if an opportunity to speak privately arises. He has a passion for the night sky and will be delighted to discuss it with anyone who will listen.
