Nox
Nox's quick thinking struck a chord in his people, and they quickly followed his commands. Those that weren't immediately killed or so maimed as to not be able to move followed the man into the cover of the fog, forming up the ranks he commanded. Those that were left behind found a few more arrows put into them, to make sure they were really dead. Those that were ordered to retrieve the wounded were either shot down or refused to go in. Nox was able to get the medic into the safety of the fog and the defensive formation tightened. Yari wall defenders were not about to waste arrows and shells blindly. They trusted those on the ground to do clean up duty. They'd keep anything else out.
Inside the fog, near to Nox, it grew eerily quiet. There were a few grunts of pain of the injured people who'd made it into the cover, but mostly it was just heavy, scared breathing. Soon, the group began to venture forward, careful, cautious, as instructed by the man who'd taken command. There was a low rumble and vibrations through the area as the ground gave way beneath the lead Aukari. The man yelped as he slid down a crumbling ramp of stone that overtook the entire group, crumbling faster than any might be able to jump away.
But the way it fell, led to no additional injuries, except perhaps the shard in Nox's rear being pushed in just a bit more. It was dark down here, but the fog was above the hole, not in it. There was just enough of a dull glow penetrating the fog that Nox and his companions could see roughly two to three feet in front of their faces. There were undead groans and growls from deep into the darkness, but they echoed about so much that pinpointing their location would be impossible.
The rock slide had covered one tunnel, and there were stones, debris and bodies from the tower collapse all around. The floor was not flat, for it seemed that much of the tower fell deeper than the level that Nox and company were currently on. Opposite the rockslide were two passage ways, one on the left, one on the right. The floors appeared solid in both passages, though the left slanted downward while the right stayed level. A child's scream rang out again, but it was impossible to tell from where.
Mastemyr & Silv & Cervantez
Meanwhile, Mastemyr was bleeding after having exchanged a blow with the creature in front of him. Before the creature could attack again, retaliating on the drop in Mastemyr's guard, it was struck across the back by Cervantez. Mastemyr would be able to see the extent of the wound on the creature's back as it now turned to face Cervantez. Despite the size of the blade used, and the man's skill, the wound appeared incredibly shallow. Shallower than the arm that now barely dangled by a bit of flesh from where Mastemyr had bitten deep.
Unfortunately, Cervantez's pincer tactic wasn't the best choice. Njama came up from the rear as Cervantez came head on. But Njama was not prepared for the sight of Mastemyr there, and did not recognize the mortalborn as a target. The great dog shied away from Mastemyr, breaking the pincer. The creature attacked forward, catching Cervantez's blade against the flesh of its palm. The blade, once again, didn't bite deep. And the creature's long digits curled around it, two of them piercing through the back of Cervantez's left hand.
This gave Silv the opening she needed, and her blade found the back of the creature's left leg. Her blade, much like Cervantez's, did not cut deep, but it did just enough to cause the creature to wobble toward Silv, though still had a latch onto Cervantez. The creature was wide open.
Rabu & Praetorum
Rabu's reaction caused a great deal of things to occur. The stones raining from the sky was a strange one, and it pelted undead and living alike. His stench did nothing to affect the undead. His running around caused a curious thing though. Perhaps it was part of his divine nature, or simply good luck, but the circles created just enough wind to clear the fog from the area around him, Praetorum, and parts of Mastemyr's home. The creatures that had been in the home screeched and fled, fighting to stay within the fog.
The first of the flying creatures that Praetorum had struck fell, oozing black liquid down his weapon, coating it in the sticky substance. The creature did not get up from where it laid. The second, which had been struck by the lizardman's shield, was thrown backward, dazed. But after a moment's recovery, was flying back toward the man.
The third though, went upward and bit at Yah, just barely missing, suggesting they could see the Emean being. But whether or not they could damage it was yet to be seen. After the first one missed, it let loose a cry, and more of the creatures were coming for Yah now. After all, it seemed the easiest, safest meal. The surviving cats from within Mastemyr's home were huddled under the bed and in corners, those that had been killed laying about, gutted, others still bleeding out, waiting to die. For the moment, they were safe again.
A light sucking noise filled the air as the black substance coating Praetorum's weapon was pulling in the fog, causing it to disappear. It was slow, but it was still noticeable. Several loud screes came over the area, suggesting that more of the flying creatures were about to arrive.
