She was safe! Albeit too close to comfort earlier what with being in close proximity, her escape from the thug's grip had been secured after a well placed kick. Kay honestly wasn't sure if she'd went too high or too low, but seeing as how the man fell with a groan and whimper; she counted herself very lucky to have made it out alive. Though not unscathed for sure. She took notice of the lady knight that had intervened earlier, her eyes alight with awe now that she could admire the woman up close. Indeed it was hard to be able to do such things like introductions, let alone actual observations, of those who intervened in such tense moments much like earlier. To face her rescuer now though, Kayleigh couldn't help but feel relief.
Relief that showed as she sighed exhaustively before finally responding, the tension in her shoulders eased as the cold reminded her of its bitterness. "Just a few scrapes and bruises." She assured the knight whose hair was a brightly blonde color, as far as the songstress could tell from where she lay. At the offer of a hand up she accepted humbly no less, determined to pull her own weight up to a full stand once more. Goodness though her legs were extremely wobbly! She hadn't considered how much they'd feel like jelly, after the initial rush of excitement came to pass at least. The poor girl could still feel her heart pound loudly, the adrenaline's kick only now passed as she nodded to the lady in appreciation. But wait...
"You... know my name?" She checked out of quick curiosity as she thought back on it, not once in that fight did she remember her name ever being shared. Indeed while that fact remained a mystery that would sooner or later reveal itself, there still lived a weighty decision that had to come. Her fight alongside the farmer was nothing more than just a determinable struggle, one that could've just as easily turned out for the worse without the aid. At the offer Kayleigh accepted her saber once more, a little reassured to have it back in her possession again. She looked from the living to her sword and with a step taken, Kayleigh heavily considered what she wanted to do. This man worst of all had every inclination to not just kill her, but torture her in the vilest of ways no doubt.
Yet now... a life was in her very hands at least. A life which she didn't deem herself, nor any other mortal, worthy of taking for their own. She felt spite and pity yes but these men... Though cruel and unjust deserved a better fate than what she deemed necessary. Kayleigh raised her sword and while it felt good to watch him flinch, she drew it over to where it's point went back inside it's scabbard. She returned the blade to its resting place and that definitely caught both bandit and farmer off guard, however Kayleigh believed her reason would reflect well in her choice. "Your life isn't mine to take, though I've held it in my hand once now; and that should be enough to warn you." Plus she doubted the criminal could stand the thought of being left alive by a woman, since he thought so lowly of how they shouldn't handle tools such as weapons. "However whether Pier and Pre themselves come for you, I pray it be as merciful as I was if not even more so. It's cold out there and the way I see it... You'll need more than luck to survive it alone."
At that note she turned to check on her fellow traveler the farmer, although she had to refrain from looking anywhere close to the injury. Even the sight of her own coat's sleeve felt risky, as it could've sparked a panic attack when her legs already felt weakened. Still with her other hand pressed against that part of her arm, she looked to their timely rescuer with appreciation in her eyes. "Thank you. As courageous as you may think it was... I was really only trying to survive this entire ordeal." And survive she did, yet she hadn't quite figured out who this knightly figure was. "You've called me by name, but you may also call me Kay if you prefer. Might I ask your's as well m'lady?"
