As they walked, looking like a pair of misfit ruffians, Gaunt didn't know whether he felt more mellow than usual around Raynarde because she wasn't all THAT bad once you got through her thick layers of stubborn defense, or if it was because of the loss of blood. Either way, they made their way down to Almund without getting tangled in another fight, al though the smirks and looks they got when entering the 'civilized' world again, made it hard on Gaunt. With one pair of especially brazen drunk bastards pointing and laughing, he had to do his utmost best not to walk up to them and ask them if they wanted to join the lively party of corpses up the road?! He couldn't be arsed with defending his ego from a pair of washed up seaweeds of life, so he just shrugged it off and trudged on to the designated delivery location.
"I'll go get this arm patched up after we drop off the package, al though I am certain you are a certifide bona fide surgeon in your free time, I'll take my chances. Not to mention I'd rather be tied to a dropping anchor than to you, m'dear."
His joke would've been funnier if he didn't wobble unsteadily on his feet with each passing moment, he wasn't about to lose consciousness, but he could feel himself lose stamina steadily and rapidly. Fortunately they were nearing their destination and once they arrived and were about to meet up with the man that had sent them on this wreck of a mission, he handed over the package to Raynarde before they effectively met him.
"You do the honors, don't be shy and take the credit for all that happened. I hope it helps you climb up the ranks of dogs faster, ya damned catdog. Now lets get this over with so I can get my arm sewed back up!"
He really did want to get to a doctor as soon as possible, but the last statement was added more so to deny Raynarde any if's and butt's in terms of claiming the majestic package retrieval mission's glory.
