What are you doing? Devin inspects the new guard house for Smooglenuff Manor that all visitors have to pass by and that will hopefully ensure that the Barony is better protected. It consists of two large rooms, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. There are even buckets because the guards will take care of firefighting duties, too.

The guard house is Tier 10 and cost 13 WP. The Barony is paying.

Glowing Chickens!

What are you doing? Devin decides to acquire three glowing hens, so that the people at Smooglenuff Manor can have fresh eggs every now and then, among other things. There are four glowing hens (including Devin's pet hen Ark who started laying rainbow-colored eggs) in the chicken coop now!

What are you doing? The guestrooms are being taken care of. Devin buys new blankets and pillows and wintery decorations for the guestrooms to fit the theme of his party. Furthermore, Ada, the head cook, and he make sweet treats. Each guest that stays in one of the guestrooms gets a gift basket with sweet treats (each of them with a special ingredient) and a personal message (with Devin's signature on it!).

This should meet hopefully meet the "Beauty 03: Plan the guest rooms for the party" objective, even though Devin doesn't just plan, but actually do the job.

What are you doing? It's the trial before the party. Devin and the staff finish decorating the manor. Students from Saoire's School arrive to help and get some real-life experience. A couple of teachers accompany them. When everything is done, Devin holds a little thank-you speech, and everybody gets something to eat and drink.

What are you doing? Trudi, the manager of Cally's, contacts the Barony and asked them if they would be willing to consider starting a vineyard and creating the “Smooglenuff” brand of fine wines. Trudi suggests sending trainees to Faldrass. They can work in the vineyard and learn how to make the wine, and in exchange, Cally’s will get to market it. Devin is quite excited about this and sends Trudi a reply. He also talks to Ada, the head cook of Smooglenuff Manor who is skilled in brewing, about the project and starts to think about what kind of wine he wants.

This is part of the Bonus Belongingness Needs 01 objective.

Thread Link: I Walk The Line
What are you doing? Darius, Lars, and Marvin set about making the road between Smooglenuff Manor and Hopetoun safer. They do this by repairing part of the road, finding a place of shelter for future travellers, and fighting off some bandits. This should (in theory) result in safer travel between the manor and the settlement, and add a degree of security to both locations.

Who's doing it? Darius, along with Hopetoun NPC Lars and Smooglenuff Manor NPC Marvin. (With a cameo from Baer's bear!)
