Kura listened intently as Brandel laid out his terms for her and whatever prospective council hopefuls she would bring to the table. When he was done, she nodded and smiled. "I understand perfectly. I have no intention of trying to run roughshod over the people of Scalvoris." she said, before laughing slightly. "After all, my job for the last century has been improvin' the quality of life as much as I possibly can. I don't think I actually know how to run roughshod over people I'm trying to help. Only the potential threats." she said, her voice still amused.
After she relaxed a bit, she nodded at Brandel. "I'll make sure anyone I bring into this knows they're meant to serve the people of Scalvoris, not themselves or any personal agenda that might put them at risk." she said, before standing up. "Thank you for seein' me, Albarech." she said, before hesitating. After a moment, she smiled warmly. "You've done well by your people, lad. I know bein' thrust into a position like yours can't have been easy, but I don't think they could have picked a better man for the job." she said, before bidding Brandel good trial and leaving the office.
She could have gone straight back to Faith's house to rest, but it was not the time for that, not yet. She had a plan now, and it was time to begin setting things in motion. Kura headed to the town square, where she was likely to find information boards and gossip mongers. She had work to do.
