Niv pinched her brow and bit her lower lip as she investigated the statements Tei’serin had given the group. Normally she would come up with a guess pretty quickly but she didn’t really know what a Farm was and didn’t want to seem foolish. While Patrick shared his rational for why the shy women was definitely not a teacher, Niv hesitantly bobbed her head in a futile attempt to seem like she understood. Tei’serin finally revealed her answer and while it didn’t relieve the Tunawa’s confusion, Niv did appreciate that there was a bit of tricky word play to throw the others off.

“What is your favourite colour then?” Niv added before they moved on. “Mine is purple.”

The mysterious man went next and lived up to his title with even more perplexing statements. Niv scrunched up her face in confusion but her mind went wondering to find some other meaning behind the words. Ymiden was also a season, could he be talking about his date of birth but made it sound like an obvious false statement by using a different wording? It was more likely then him being her creator.
Patrick only made the situation more confusing by adding his answer which was even more perposterus.
“He’s the shit of a bull?” Niv mumbled under her breath in bewilderment, before Patrick continued followed by Tei’serin shortly after. Based on their statements, it seemed like they actually believed they were standing in front of an immortal. Niv simply shook her head and breathed a heavy sigh at their naivety.

“He’s not saying he’s an immortal its a riddle, I would know if my creator was standing in front of me.” Niv explained to the group who seemed to be taking this game too seriously.

“It’s not a riddle Niv. Squak!!” Patcha said as seriously as a giant bird could. “That is definitely Ymiden.”

“Wait how do you know?” Snapped the sassy house cat.

“I just do," Patcha gestured his wing over to the man. "look at him."

Niv gave him another look through squinty eyes and they quickly grew wide in realization. "Creator?"

They all seemed to think on it a bit. One was in complete disbelief and was becoming somewhat verbally violent because of it. Ymiden leaned back in his chair, tucking his hands behind his head in a very nonchalant manner. It figured that there would be some aggression from the Mortals when he outed himself. What caught his eye was the flash of silvery scars when he scratched at his neck. Ymiden narrowed his eyes to focus on the exposed bit before it became hidden again. That was clearly the mark of an Immortal, but which one? He and Moseke were so far removed that unless he had seen the mark before he would be able to pin the Immortal responsible. This one was new to him. Ymiden siphoned that information to the back of his mind. Depending on which Immortal he was affiliated with, Patrick could be dangerous.

The educated girl seemed to have some background in the Sev'ryn ways. So she could sniff out his lie much faster than the others. He smiled when she hit the nail on the head, calling him out for even considering that he did not love Moseke. Ymiden smirked as she so matter-of-factly stated that he loved Moseke. Boy did he. Which was why he was going to these great lengths to get her a gift of this magnitude. He didn't lie; he needed their help.

Niv, of course, was the cutest of all three of them. Her companions recognized him quicker than she did, but her astonishment was worth the weight. Ymiden slowly lowered the feet of his chair back to the ground. "Yes, Niv. I am your creator in a sense. If you wish to be completely accurate, Alaiwa was your creator and she was practically my daughter. She just didn't want to live in this world alone."

He reached forward while he said that, taking everyone's empty acorn halves. With four of them in hand, he placed them open side down on the table. He waved a hand idly over them before lifting his dark gaze to Patrick. "Whether you believe me or not, I am who I say I am. This is Emea. We Immortals deserve to sip and drink tea now and then. Not every Immortal is interested in fucking around with your kind for personal reasons."

Was that a jab at Patrick's mark? Even Ymiden was not sure. Slowly he lifted up each acorn half. Below one of the acorns was a tiny ring. He then began to move the acorn half around hoping to hide the ring from the other three. "I seek an artifact. Call it a gift for my beloved. I need your help in getting it as the guardians won't reveal it to the Immortals. They will, however, play games with mortals for it. I will call upon you at a later time. I simply hope I can count on your to bring me the artifact."

He stood up, leaving the acorns mixed up. If they elected to pick up the acorn halves, they would actually find a ring under each. Were there four artifacts or was Ymiden trying to trick them yet again? "You shall all hear from me very soon. I must take my leave. I hear her calling for me."

If they focused, they might hear the soft, feminine voice echoing softly in the tunnel. Moseke was attempting to wake Ymiden up and he was obligated to return to the real world.

OOC
I know we already started Part II, but I felt that it was only fair to finish this thread. In your wrap-up posts, if you choose to make them, please place a spoiler or something with the knowledges you would like from this thread. Remember that this is Emea and skill knowledges cannot be earned. Thanks for playing with me and I look forward to the continuation of Part II.

If you elect to nab a ring from under an acorn, I'll allow you to bring it to Part II since we finished Part I late. It most likely won't be helpful to you, but you never know.

Tei'serin listened intently as Ymiden confirmed that he was in fact who he said he was. She didn't question it. It seemed beyond foolish to claim to be an Immortal when you weren't one, and Tei'serin couldn't imagine anyone doing it. And for that reason, she believed this man without question. In fact, the knowledge that he was Ymiden made her trust him all the more. He was Moseke's lover, after all, and Tei'serin loved and trusted Moseke more than anyone else. Moseke was a kind, caring Immortal. It might be a very simplistic way of looking at things, but in her eyes, if Moseke trusted and loved Ymiden, then he had to be good as well.

When Ymiden spoke to the wooden doll named Niv, he confirmed that he was her creator. Or rather that he was indirectly because someone named Alaiwa created her kind so she wouldn't be lonely. Tei'serin didn't know who Alaiwa was, but she guessed that if she created Niv's kind so she wouldn't be lonely, then she was probably a member of the same race. The first member, in fact. And the context of what Ymiden was saying suggested that he had created Alaiwa, so in turn it could be said that he had created Niv's people.

As Tei'serin considered Ymiden's words, she was reminded of a story her mother had told her long ago. The details were foggy at best, but the story had been about Ymiden's love for Moseke. It had been so great that he had created an entire race of people just to cheer her up when she was grieving. Tei'serin tried to remember everything she could about the story. What was the race that had been Ymiden's gift to Moseke called? The Tuni...something? No, that wasn't quite right. Tuna...Tunäwä. That was it. He had created the Tunäwä, and Niv was one of that race.

Ymiden continued speaking, and he told the other man...Patrick? Yes; Ymiden told Patrick that this was Emea. That reminded Tei'serin about another story she had heard from her mother as a young child. Emea, the land of dreams where everything was possible. Tei'serin's eyes widened. Did that mean that Emea was real? If so, did that mean that dreams were real, too? What about nightmares? Tei'serin shuddered at that thought. Her nightmares were often quite vivid. Many times, she was simply reliving things that had happened in the past. But just as often, her nightmares were based off of real events, but were far worse in some ways. Tei'serin couldn't help but be horrified at the thought that her nightmares might somehow be real.

But Ymiden was speaking again, and Tei'serin quickly focused on what he was saying once more. He did need help. He wanted an artifact to give Moseke. That alone made Tei'serin determined to help him in any way she could. By helping Ymiden get this artifact, whatever it might be, she would be helping Moseke indirectly. And there was nothing she wouldn't do to help Moseke if it were in her power.

As he spoke, Ymiden played with the acorn halves that they had drunk from earlier. Beneath one was a ring. Tei'serin continued to listen intently, but her eyes were on the acorn that the ring was under. She watched curiously as he moved it around along with the others.

"I'll help" she said at last, when Ymiden stood to leave.

A woman's voice echoed softly in the tunnel they had come through. Tei'serin's eyes widened again when she recognized that voice. It was Moseke. She couldn't hear the words clearly, but it sounded like Moseke was calling Ymiden. Was she here, too? If so, she didn't enter the clearing. When Ymiden was gone, Tei'serin glanced at the acorns he had left behind. She thought she knew which one the ring she had seen was under, and when she picked it up to check, she found that she was right.

Tei'serin stared at the ring for several trills. It was small, but it was also very pretty. Ymiden had left it behind...did that mean that it was a gift for them? Slowly, hesitantly, she picked up the ring, feeling its slight weight in her hand. After a few more trills of hesitation, she closed her hand around the ring, and left the clearing, taking the ring with her when she did.

Maybe Patrick's barking cynicism had came off a bit too much but the man, Ymiden as he claimed himself, didn't seem all too swayed by the jabber that came from the drunk. The other two somehow found it easier to accept that this was the actual Immortal in the flesh, and admittedly Patrick himself found his doubts wavered. Granted of course there was no real reason to doubt Ymiden, just the deep seated belief that Immortals were too caught up in their own things. Patrick could only scoff at the remark as he nervously tugged at the collar of his shirt now, unsure if the bite mark itself spelled trouble on Patrick's own behalf. Maybe... not all Immortals were so caught up in wrecking lives of those considered beneath them. Syroa certainly seemed heavily entangled with the thought, since she'd only luckily drawn out Patrick to become her supposed pet.

At times he could still feel that spiritual leash that'd been chained on him, and it only fed the fiery scorn he felt for all Immortals in general. Maybe that scorn had been misdirected in a general sense, maybe there were even some Immortals that aimed to help those beneath them. It seemed such could be the case, although Ymiden didn't seem to be openly willing to lend a hand so easily. No he needed them to help with his gift fetching instead, but at what cost would it come if Patrick decided to help him out? It seemed that in all likeliness Patrick would just have to wait and heed this calling, see just what exactly would come along in the event Ymiden really did seek their aid out. As he'd listened Patrick took notice of the four acorns and the little trick Ymiden managed to pull, shortly just before he decided to rise out of his chair and take leave a moment afterwards. While he'd sat quietly it seemed the others were apt to agree, willingly ready to serve this alleged God that had graced their presence this evening.

"Count on it." Was all Patrick could murmur as his eyes remained fixated on the acorns. Of the majority he probably came off as most distanced, only for the moment though as he finally took one of the acorns from their place. With the revealed ring left for him to take Patrick inspected the object closely, a lean back into his chair as he propped his feet atop the table subconsciously. "Count on it." He repeated once more as he enclosed the ring into his fist, his back leaned a little further to allow the legs of his chair to slip out from underneath. Naturally this caused him to spur into a fall that would've ended badly in the physical world, yet the moment his body hit the floor he'd seemed to dissipate and vanish as well. The next he knew he'd woken up broken in a sweat within his bed, the ring he'd taken for himself still found in the palm of his balled fist when he looked to inspect it.

“Oh right.,” Niv replied with a nod to Ymiden’s explanation as if she knew knew this fact all along but that was not the truth. The story the Immortal told was of his daughter Alaiwa who was the first Tunawa made by Ymiden, but in the stories Niv was told was always portrayed as the true creator. Whether Ymiden was being humble or not, Niv wasn’t about to argue with him. “So you’re my Great Great Great Great Great Grand Papa then?”

“Oh a Gift for your special Flower!” Niv lit up and practically jumped out of her chair. “Of course I’ll help my Greatest Grand Papa! I’m sure Moseke will love it!” Niv paused for a moment as her brow tensed in thought. “An artifact is like a painting right?”

Niv felt a sudden interest in what was under her cup, she lifted it up and found a ring. Niv picked it up and knew it was what Ymiden wanted. It practically glowed with brilliance and had strange writing all over it. Niv was sure Moseke was more suited to jewelry with an earthy feel but even she would appreciate the gesture if her special flower had given it to her.
“Oh you mean this ring, yes she’ll love it Great Grand Papa.”

Everyone else at the party seemed to agree, even Quattro and Patrick. Though Patrick wasn’t sitting with his but on the seat and his feet on the ground like you were supposed to. When he fell, Niv rushed to help him but he was already up. Pat really should learn to sit properly on chairs, it was only proper tea party etiquette after all.

Not soon after the world around them seemed to become drenched in a thick fog. The fog grew more dense until nothing could be seen and then Niv was awake.
