Thread(s):Serenity & Serendipity
Participants: Elisabeth & Balthazar
Brief description of thread: This is an introduction to the Ashwoods! Balth and Elisa find the Phoenix Wood (and discuss how to go about making baby trees) and are introduced to the Kazan Fowl and get a glimpse of the Red Cervus. Mostly to set the scene for later threads involving all three and to introduce Balth and Elisa's thinking regarding appropriate resource management.

Thread(s): Woodcutting Warriors
Somebody's Watching Me
Participants: Balthazar Black (technically just him)
Brief description of thread: Woodcutting Warriors - While Elisabeth spends her day leaving little clues around Haven, Balthazar starts the logging operation in the Ashwoods near their settlement. He marks the largest trees to have them cut down to converted into lumber for building then assists with cutting down the first tree. While cutting down the first phoenix tree from the Ashwoods, he collects the bark and cut away wood to bring to the research center to see if they can find out anything unique about the wood.
Somebody's Watching Me - Balthazar delivers the wood to the research center and gives it to them to look at as a gift. He looked for Elisabeth for a little while, checking in on people from his settlement, and then he goes back to help the woodcutting crew finish trimming and cutting the tree.

I thought that you should know. The Element reports to the Albarech that Balthazar confirmed that his new house cost more than anything that the settlers have when he (the Element) remarked that it was better than the homes of the settlers.
Please tell Kura about this here.
Furthermore, some of Balthazar’s settlers are not happy with the fact that their leader has decided to build a nice house for Elisabeth and himself while they lost everything during the volcanic eruption.

Re: Haven
Announcement
Hello,
Apologies that the change requests have been stacking up a bit recently. I've been ill and there has been some debate as to an issue regarding the settlement system, which required that all changes to profile be suspended.
As a result of these discussions I have implemented a few changes to the settlement system and the testing process:
- All threads must now be peer reviewed before being submitted on the settlement profile.
- When submitting a request for a settlement thread, players must now include a short list of what (if any) settlement resources they used in the thread. This could include people, settlement money, buildings, tools or anything else, but if it is not a resource that is listed on the settlement profile then links should be made to the thread in which this reosurce was obtained.
- Players must also include a short list of the changes they believe their actions should have on the settlement, include changes to population, order, WP or effects. A guide has been posted into the settlement forum listed what appropriate rewards should be recieved from certain actions. Mods reserve final judgement as to whether to approve, deny or alter these requests.

Thread(s): Resource Management 101 - Gardening
Participants: Elisabeth
Brief description of thread: This thread is a continuation of the story regarding the Rubrum Berry, Phoenix Wood, and Faldrass Potato crops. The Rubrum Berry plants that were brought back to Haven are planted in frames and starting to producing tiny new root systems for new plants. The nuts from the Phoenix Wood trees have been planted and put into warm sand frames. The potatoes are in warm sand frames, waiting to produce sprouts to propagate. It's not intended for anything other than to show that Haven is continuing the work on creating stable, rotating crops and understanding the resources that they have and that Elisabeth is following the progress.

Thread(s): The Curious Matter of Baby Trees
Participants: Elisabeth
Brief description of thread: This thread was previous submitted to the tracker here, and given consequences by the peer reviewer that I wanted to make you aware of.
"Consequences The Phoenix trees will take a while to grow; in fact, without magic they will take at least an arc to even emerge from the ground and a number more arcs to develop into proper trees. Once word gets out about the Faldrass potato, settlers will start foraging for them. Since the skin is poisonous, a couple settlers will get sick from eating it (not fatally so, but enough for them to have a couple very bad trials). The effectiveness of the rainbarrel system will depend on the weather in the coming seasons. "

Thread: Do All Leaders Get Hand Cramps?
Participants: Balthazar Black
Brief description of thread: Balthazar Black writes letters to individuals requesting support for Haven. Rita from Haven Farm writes back and sends him supplies. I submit this thread already and you have reviewed it. At the time it did not qualify for settlement growth however in the review consequences for it, Rita has responded with aid. Here is what is says: "Ria writes back quickly. She explains that, regretfully, she cannot spare much in the way of grain seed (she got his letter immediately after the spring wheat planting); however, she can do much better on the vegetable front. Sometime 30ish Ashan, seeds arrive of the following varieties: radishes, tomatoes, peppers, peas, beans. Anyone any good at farming will tell Balthazar that there are enough seeds for Haven to achieve self-sufficiency in these legumes and vegetables by next cycle, if the farmers know what they’re doing. Turning a surplus in radishes and tomatoes before the end of the arc is a possibility. There are also boxes of wheat, oats, and corn, enough for a combined couple acres of these; better than nothing, but nowhere near what Haven would need to be self-sufficient."

Settlement Resources Used:
- None
- The player completes an action that proves they are trustworthy to the settlers = +1% Order
- The player discovers a new resource that is mined, harvested, dug up or otherwise collected directly from nature, and instructs settlers on how to gather it = Include the resource in their Primary Resources section of the settlement profile.
- The player completes an action that would lead to a new cultural quirk, supernatural effect or other notable change to daily life, or acquires a grandmaster level skill or supernatural ability that would affect the day-to-day lives of their settlers = Create an effect relevant to the change and add it to the settlement effects list. (Balthazar has reached Grandmaster Leadership and has a capstone that improves a key skill that small groups he works with use. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to come up with the effect and suggest it or leave it to you so I'm just mentioning it here.)

Re: Haven
Thread: A Fence In Need of Mending
Participants: Balthazar Black
Brief description of thread: Balthazar calls a gathering of his settlers in response to a letter from the Albarech. He gives a speech with the intention to promote unity between Haven and the mainland and offers his settlers his home to house them during the unnatural chill that has settled over Scalvoris. The feedback about Balthazar's speech was "The speech doesn’t actually change much, tbh. It doesn’t actually address any underlying problems, which didn't include a shortage of lectures about teamwork; it just lets people know what Balthazar wants. By the time Ziell’s freezy-truce wears off, the two factions will be back to hating each other’s guts. The most meaningful thing that happens here is Balth’s offer to let settlers stay warm in his house. For the duration of the Ziell thing (until Ashan 38) the house will be fairly crowded with settlers taking up their governor’s invitation to keep warm there. The proximity of that many people means that Balthazar will have even less privacy than usual, and there will be low grade roommate friction among the various temporary residents."
