Valyeria kept close to the pair as he spoke of his "pet". She watched the whistle come out, wincing before she realized that it wasn't making any noise. Her head cocked as she tried to look at the dark woods around them, but the torches held by the mob had ruined her night vision.
The cracking and snapping as the beast approached told her that she was best to stay where she was- whatever it was, she didn't stand a chance against it. She made sure to keep her face neutral as the animal tore into the crowd, blood spattering the ground near them, a hand flopping down at her feet.
She hadn't noticed the others with her disappearing- it wasn't often that she was so distracted. The blade scraping against her throat made her tense up as she realized she had missed yet another important fact; these two didn't trust her.
"W-What are you doing?" Valyeria hissed, tilting her head up to try and get as much space for her neck as possible.
She followed as best she could, feeling forward with her foot before stepping. The last thing she needed was to fall down and reveal herself to be a Yludih- neck wounds, while annoying, weren't fatal for them.
Soon they stopped, Valyeria looking over to the dim outline of the man. "What do you want?" She hissed, before a nearby bush exploded into action and sound.
