It doesn't have to be within the ring (which as you've stated isn't allowed). I'm just looking for literally anywhere residential. Neighborhoods. A business within a residential area. From what I've gathered, Foster's Landing is fairly popular, but the link in there was dead. Just a starting off point is all :D

Is Outer perimeter the only option?

If you are wanting to live in the same building as the business, then yes, the Outer perimeter would be the only option in Etzos proper.
But you CAN have the business in the main Commercial ring, and live in the Outer Perimeter.

Otherwise, the outlying cities are a great option.
They can all be considered be uniformly of low-to middle status, other than the homes of the city officials.

I'm not sure what you mean by the link being dead.
Do you mean the Map and the List topic didn't work?
Inside of that topic, each spoiler gives just a brief rundown of the town, which is then very much open to development.
If you have an idea for a business, and a town in which you'd like to see it placed, but the overall "theme" of the town doesn't seem to fit, do not worry, I'll make it work. Just let me know the details.

Now I realize, that, after Highbend, everything is just a copy of the Darington info. My bad.
Everyone seemed so satisfied with Foster's landing that I was not greatly motivated to fill in those other blanks.

After the events of The Fiend Unleashed, Southguard is rebuilding from massive death and destruction.
But the others - outside of Lakewatch, which is not known to exist - would be fine with a new biz in town.
These little spoilers and not meant as forums to post threads on though.
You would simply post in the main "Outlying Cities" forum, with tag included to show which city the thread takes place in.

I hope that helps. Any further questions or details can be PMed to me. Like what sort of business you have in mind.

Big time shout-outs to:

Nighshade Eld - Etzos' Constitutional Law write-up AND the bulk of the Academy write-up as well.

Thessaly - The new Funeral Home in town, "Sfelte's Funerary Services".

Torqin - The new outlying city of "Lowgarden" (as well as going to the trouble of providing a replacement map, marking its location)

Kasoria - A good write-up for the already existing outlying city of Westguard.

I was so inspired, I managed to do up Southguard as well; which was fairly easy, as it has recently been half-destroyed by a Sessfiend named Patrick.

That leaves only two such towns left to do. (This does NOT include Lakewatch, which is a special case, unknown to the general populace).

Relay and Muster.

It is worth noting (and hinting) that those write-ups provided by players, and not yours truly, seem to be superior. 8-)

Okay, I have managed to get the bare minimum down for this cycle's calendar.
Cylus is up!! :D

This season of utter darkness finds a strange light in the sky that is stymying attempts at researching it.
The fear of The Still carries over from last season.
It grows worse due to the numbing effects of the cold being attributed to its infection.
And Becomers are suddenly targeted as the fearful ignorant feel their totems may spread the affliction.
Lastly, the small, but growing rumble of insurrectionists in the Outlying Cities, and their hope for the rumored future regime, bring initial reprisals.

Quick question for my own personal purposes. Due to the fact, Lakewatch is almost entirely cut off at this point and I have no intention of bringing it in on Night (I really like my character please don't kill her off Malty I'll buy you chocolates) would they be spared the effects of The Still?

Yes,
The secret town of Lakewatch was established and populated before The Still was inflicted upon Etzos.
It is safe so far. In fact, unless you tell them, they won't even know about it.
Just be sure that you don't bring it there Night, chocolates or no...

Hey there folks! 8-)

So, the new wealth system is in place.
Looking at the Wage Request topic, I am somewhat dismayed to see so many folks still showing "Tier 1".
While not a rabid fan of the thing myself, it is not so bad as all that.

Page 1: NOTH?? are you kidding me? You are surely higher than Tier 1.
Everyone else is either among those that have announced an hiatus of indeterminate length, announced that they will not be coming back at all, or have slipped quietly into obscurity.

Page 2: Quite a few memorable Etzori personalities. A few I can recall as being likely to take a break. But only Kasoria has shown himself to be above Tier 1.

Page 3: Okay only 4 on this page and all but 1 is up to date. And I know my most recent conversations involved my own uncertainties over the what the new system held.
So I will share the blame on that one.

And now the roster for the 719 Rebirth Cycle: 8 entries, 4 of which are above Tier 1.
I am willing to help you out, now that I have a decent grip on it myself, if you PM me.
If you are a mod alt, however...lol...You can damn well do it yourself!

I'm just popping in to congratulate you Maltruism on 2000 posts!

Though I do wonder why an evil overlord like yourself has not yet employed a minion to do the laundry for you...

Congratulations Overlord!

You've made us all exceptionally...

Uh... happy to still be alive, I guess, is the most accurate term, though it doesn't quite roll off the tongue as well as proud.

Also, I'll get to updating my wealth... one of these days. It's not like I spend an exceptional amount of time "buying" things anyway. :P
