Threads:
In This World, Nothing Is Certain Except...
Participants: Elisabeth
Brief description of thread: Elisabeth, realizing that Haven needs to begin to stabilize their future financial security, announces a 10% tax. The settlers vote on when to begin the tax, and Ashan 722 is the result.
Settlement Resources Used:
  • Elisabeth
  • Settlers
Intended Changes:See this guide.
  • The player sets up a useful service in their settlement, such as a bank or insurance broker, and instructs settlers on how to run this service themselves. (Best guess - I have no idea!) I suspect order will be impacted but should be mitigated by Elisabeth's Leadership and Socialization skills.

Accepted. As a result of this thread Haven has gained the following:
  • A 10% taxation rate in Haven
  • With Haven having 110 WP, this would entitle Elisabeth to claim +11WP for herself on job threads.
  • -5% order (now 75%) ~ this would have been -10 but was mitigated by 4% due to Elisabeth's Leadership skill and +1% due to this thread.

Just putting this here in case.

Elisabeth's Logistics Capstone

Waste Not, Want Not

Being the leader of a fledgling settlement with limited resources has taught Elisabeth different ways of maximizing what's available. Whether dealing with manpower or materials, she's become extremely skilled in planning the use of resources to down to the tiniest details, honing tips and tricks over several different projects.

When Elisabeth plots logistics for projects, less material and/ or resources are needed to complete them due to her efficiency in this skill, knowing how to effectively stretch available resources/materials for maximum effect, allowing her to need 25% less. This encompasses human and material resources.

I'm not sure if this will have knock on effects for Haven, so just slipping this here in case.

Hi there! I'm not sure on this one, to be honest. The guide says " (Note: This must be a skill, capstone or magical ability that would enable the player to be a better leader, such as leadership or intelligence. Skills that improve the player but not their settlers, such as strength or smithing, should not be applied for unless they provide a capstone relevant to the settlement. When applying for this reward the player should suggest what effect they believe would be appropriate.)"

Keeping that in mind could you please suggest what effect you're thinking of here? Thanks!

Threads: Participants: Elisabeth (entire series) Balthazar (last two collab threads)
Brief description of thread: This is the chapel series. Elisabeth and Balthazar were tasked by Vri to build a chapel in Haven and dedicate it to him. Throughout the process, Elisabeth uses it as an opportunity to reflect on the way she now relates to Vri's Domains and encourages the settlers to tell their own stories as they build. Elisabeth paid privately for the building of the chapel.
Settlement Resources Used:
  • Elisabeth
  • Balthazar
  • Settlers - Labor
Intended Changes:See this guide.
  • The player completes an action that would lead to a new cultural quirk, supernatural effect or other notable change to daily life, or aquires a grandmaster level skill or supernatural ability that would affect the day-to-day lives of their settlers.

Honestly, I have no idea on this one. It feels like it would lead to perhaps a new cultural quirk for Haven, but as for a proposed change, I'm not so sure. Vri said when he tasked them with the chapel that he " wishes to bless Haven with his protection". I hate saying "I don't know"....but I really don't know. This might fall outside the established intended effects list.

Impact will be awarded at the end of the wedding thread, in the review there.

Threads:
Always a Few More Thing to Do
Participants: Elisabeth
Brief description of thread: Elisabeth is purchasing one jewelry-quality fire pearl from Haven. According to the write up, fire pearls are tier 8 material. Elisa is tier 7, so I've deducted 1wp from my wealth ledger to cover the cost. That 1 wp should go into Haven's coffers. Also, Elisa began a dialogue with Hurk from Little Korlasir regarding his interest in purchasing such pearls from Haven as they find them. They have agreed to meet again in Ymiden to further discuss. Elisabeth has told him that they only come across perhaps one or two a season.
Settlement Resources Used:
  • Elisabeth
  • Settlers at Clam Farm found the pearl (labor)
Intended Changes:See this guide.
  • The player completes an action that proves they are trustworthy to the settlers. +1 to order - Elisabeth pays for a raw pearl instead of accepting it from the settlers. This should prove to them that she's not willing to take resources or potential resources/income from Haven. She's an honest girl! :D
 ! Message from: Peg
Accepted. As a result of this, Haven has gained:
  • +1 WP (now 111)
  • +1 Order (now 80)

  • What's in the Box? (Balth getting the ceremony boxes and Elisa's gift)
  • Where Flowers Bloom, so Does Hope... (Planning the Chapel garden)
  • What does love do? (Wedding)

Participants: Elisabeth, Balth, Darius, Devin, Woe, Genna, Prae, Winston, Tiggy, Oram (Wedding)
Brief description of threads: This is everything from Vri's tasks to Elisa/Balth to the wedding.
    Settlement Resources Used:
    • Elisabeth & Balth
    • Settlers
    Intended Changes:See this guide.
    • The player completes an action that would lead to a new cultural quirk, supernatural effect or other notable change to daily life, or aquires a grandmaster level skill or supernatural ability that would affect the day-to-day lives of their settlers.

Not a clue. Elisa and Balth got assigned tasks by Vri and completed them, got married and a whole lot of stuff happened. I'd imagine Haven is going to have some visitors once word gets out about the new holy place, and some new challenges for Elisabeth and the settlement as a whole.
     ! Message from: Peg
Accepted. Many of these threads aren't Haven specific (things like the Scaltoth things) or were personal threads which, while they added to the story of the wedding, won't make a change to Haven. However, four threads do - I've listed them in the first point.
    • Order = +4% (+1% for "Death, Sadness, Remembrance & Love", +1 for "Traditions and Vows", +1 for "Where Flowers Bloom" and +1 for "What does love do") Now 84%
    • Haven Chapel Haven has a small canopy-style gazebo of trees. They are always blooming, no matter what the season and those who sit beneath them will experience the sort of calm one feels from a jubiplant. Residents of Haven leave small glass gifts and in the center, hanging from the apex of the roof, is a glass wind chime. The sounds which this make are gentle and soothing and simply beautiful.
    • Cultural Quirk: Community Spirit Those who live in Haven will experience less conflict among themselves and will experience a sense of calm and serenity as individuals. It's like the effect that people get when being in the gazebo seeps into the residents, who are just more chilled out and xen-like. Conflict (even small conflict) reduces significantly.
    • Cultural Quirk: Community Focus Most of the residents of Haven will enjoy spending a few moments in the gazebo each day. When there is something to discuss or some important decision to be made, the gazebo becomes the place where residents of Haven congregate in order to ensure the best outcome.

Threads:
The Ithecal Whisperer
Participants: Elisabeth
Brief description of thread: In this thread, Elisabeth is awarded a new personal npc, Fastia. Fastia has three yearling boys. This thread is their introduction to Haven.
Settlement Resources Used:
  • Elisabeth
  • Settlers
Intended Changes:See this guide.
  • I'm not sure if there is a hit to order as this was a reward.
  • +1% to Order - The player completes an action that proves they are trustworthy to the settlers. (Extending an invitation to a skilled person to relocate to Haven and preparing for their arrival, helping get them settled in, etc)
 ! Message from: Peg
Thanks for submitting this, but until Fastia does something - her just settling in won't do much. She doesn't impact your population, as a personal NPC (not a Haven one) and so her joining won't impact Order negatively, either. However, the link to the thread where you were awarded her doesn't work - so if the reward says something different, let me know! Hope that makes sense!
