Understandable. I personally can say I won't be trying to over-saturate it with hundreds of years of historical drama and drivel. It'd just be pretty basic stuff. I can't speak for anyone else, though.
Would love your help on Burhan! I'll talk to the Ryn mods about all this assuming I get the go-ahead to work on Ryn's background a bit, and I'll send you guys both a PM about it soon.

Also - I've just realised that the development you're discussing is still different to the other development I was told is happening.
The OOC Guidelines for nobility in Rynmere.

That's a part of it, I think. I think they'll all be in the same thread. I can't really say all that much right now because I'm not entirely sure. Will talk to the Ryn mods soon and see if I can get some idea as to what sort of guidelines will be presented. I agree that the players should be informed, that's always been my position. So - yeah, I'll do my best to make sure we can all agree on what's presented. I'm not a Ryn mod, but I'm still a Ryn player, and that matters.
I'll PM you whenever I have any information. I personally value your feedback a lot.

Heya
bit late to the discussion -sorry! To be clear, no big sweeping changes are happening, we're not planning on changing stuff and I am personally very anti over saturation of info (as is Bumblebee!) What we've got is a situation where we've got some existing nobles wanting to do things like progress in rank and some new nobles asking questions about what they have to do in order to do x, y or z.
Therefore, literally, what we're aiming to do is put together a "this is what we know / where we are right now" in terms of the Ryn nobility - then put that out to players and ask them to comment / discuss / change. Everything that has been written, in terms of lore and stories, we have the utmost respect for and no intention on changing it. We've had a few players that wanted to get involved in "higher up" politics, and are just trying to make sure that all are on the same page about what that means.
In terms of the ooc stuff - again, not sweeping changes but just wanting to make sure that we're clear on what is expected for people playing Barons and Dukes, mostly. Again, doing that because players have asked us to. Not intending to restrict anyone, just trying to offer opportunities. If people don't want to be involved, that's fine - I've sent pm's to a number of players to offer the prospect of "If you want to purse Baron/ess" - some said yes, some no. No problems either way, but we felt it only fair to be clear about their ic duties, especially if their first in line.
So long story short - no sweeping changes - just want to make sure that we are representing the houses correctly in what we're doing - so will put it together and then ask for amendments / clarity from players. In terms of the OOC, it's just about clarifying advantages and expectations of playing a noble, really. For most nobles, it has no impact other than the access to resources etc - but for those in line for Baronies and / or Duchies, players have asked for more clarity, so we're trying to give it.
And on the calendar - my bad I completely forgot the arena on the 13th - total oversight and would have probably forgotten next time, too so thanks for the heads up. Anything like that, amendments / suggestions etc- always happy to hear about. One of us will edit that in.

Apologies for missing it.

Could all you lovely people also dump these ideas/discussions in the feedback forum that Bumblebee setup please? Otherwise it will get lost in here and that would be a pity!

Surgical masks are in fashion this season, mainly due to the mystery illness. So I thought I'd get Tristan a mask and maybe have him donate a few masks to the poor as well. The problem is, I couldn't find a price for surgical masks anywhere. Moderators, could you please tell me how much they approximately cost?

I'd say considering how little fabric is needed, the cost would be 5sn as a base, and then add in the fabric modifier and any trims?
Hope that helps

To His Most Royal Majesty, Cassander Renault, King of Rynmere and his intended bride,
Her Holiness Emerson Sands, Empress of Rynmere.
First, may we offer you both our most sincere and respectful congratulations on your forthcoming wedding. The uniting of Church and State in Rynmere is a bold and unprecedented move and to break such with tradition in the name of love is, we are sure, something which the Seven themselves would notice. It is very much our hope that this union represents a new era of stability for our beautiful lands.
As you may be aware, we are also to be wed in Saun and we are writing to you to inform you of a decision we have made. In these times of poverty and difficulty we can not, in good conscience, celebrate a lavish and expensive wedding whilst the people of all our duchies suffer. Therefore, we have decided that we will be married outdoors, there will be no feast and we will follow the Empress' own example by wearing simple clothes, as she did to the masked ball.
We will invite all those who would usually invite, including yourselves of course. However, we will be asking them to donate money in lieu of the usual gift and what they would have spent on lavish and unnecessary outfits. What monies would have been spent on our wedding, and the asked for donations from guests will be collected and shared equally between charities working with the most impoverished in all seven of your duchies.
It is our belief that in doing this, we might also set a precedent and would implore you to consider following our example in this action. Whether you choose to, or not, we wish you every happiness in your lives together.
May the light of the Seven shine upon us all, and may we always remember that it is our duty to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
Your humble and loyal subjects,
Lord Xander Krome and Lady Celeste Andaris
This letter was sent to the King and Empress and all the Dukes and Duchess's of the kingdom and anyone else it may concern (certain Barons/Baronesses, some lords/ladies and of course anyone invited tot he wedding) in order to reveal the plans of Xander Krome and Celeste Andaris for their wedding and urge the King and Empress to follow suit and join in this honourable cause and act for Rynmere's people.
