The Hope Street Market Place
There are not people shouting about their wares or harassing passers by. This is a strange marketplace in many ways. The stall which sells cooked food passes out free meals to all other stall owners. The Home & Hearth, just on the edge of the square the market stands on, sends out regular hot drinks in the coldest weather, cool ones in the heat. The market traders do not pay to be here, but they are part of a Gunvorton Traders' Collective, whereby they help each other in all things. One of Shania's many ideas for how things should be done, it seems to promote a sense of solidarity and collective responsibility from the traders here.
No. Not a usual marketplace at all. Yet, things are sold and bought, people chat and laugh. So it can't be too odd, can it?
Can it?
