Diamond Vine traders (the Keaton Family) (WIP)

The Diamond vine’s the Keaton family, perhaps one of the older merchant families to exist on Yaralon’s shores, where many merchant families have tried to start roots in Yaralon and found the harsh city uninviting the Keaton’s dug their heels in and blended the Yari culture into their own refined aesthetic. The roots of the diamond vine in Yaralon run deep and are watered with as much blood as water. Founding the gilded quarter and further than that being the main employer of the Aureate Order the Keaton’s are a shrewd family of business men and women who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty when necessary.
As for their business the Keaton’s are responsible for two main imports within Yaralon, those being Lumber, and Luxury goods. For this reason this family is perhaps known most directly for its unabashed opulence made from ill-gotten gains. They have for the most part kept their dirtier business tactics out of Yaralon which is perhaps one of the reasons they’ve done so well in the city, no law enforcer from foreign lands would willingly come to Yaralon to impart justice on the family and the city itself has accepted the diamond vine as a part of itself. Outside of Yaralon however there are stories of piracy, theft and murder, it’s even been said that the Keaton’s are responsible for cut and burn tactics as far as the forests of Desnind for rare lumbers.
At this time the family is led by a matriarch the youngest of three siblings, however her reign in the family was cemented when her siblings both disappeared on a business venture. However that was a fair few years ago now. Now she bides her time watching her myriad of children grow old few of them fathered by the same individual while also keeping an eye on her straggling nieces and nephews making sure her progeny get first pick of the riches, after herself of course.
