Halle is a boulder of a man, standing at seven feet tall and weighing just shy of three hundred pounds, though he hardly qualifies as muscular, given that he has never put any effort into his figure. His head of curls have gone completely gray these days, and only his beard hints at the dark brown that it used to be; most of the year he lets his facial hair grow out, though on occasion he is known to trim it in the Hot Cycle. His skin is a milky white, unmarred yet by wrinkles or scars, save for some scarring around his right knee from a childhood accident. His eyes are his best feature, a vibrant blue nestled deep in the recesses of his girthy visage. His nose is wide and squatty, and his teeth are somewhat crooked from poor care over the arcs, but they're quickly flashed in the heat of merriment and conversation. Halle's hands are massive but lack any sort of callous, more inclined to turning the pages of a book than wielding a sword or tool. All in all, he is an imposing figure that has rarely ever felt the need to utilize his physical advantages in his life.
Personality

by Halle
Halle is a strong, multi-faceted personality, one that many find difficult to completely unravel in a single sitting. While he can match his fellow Lothar in size and willfulness at times, he lacks their more vicious tendencies. He's bold without resorting to bully tactics. He's witty without relying on malice. He's a people-person who values the worth of his friendships, and is not quick to throw it away in fits of emotion. Halle dislikes conflict and avoids it whenever he can; he much prefers parties and social gatherings, where he can indulge in the great foods and drinks like the gourmand that he is.
Away from people, Halle is a much more subdued personality. A studious soul, his thirst for knowledge and understanding is nearly unquenchable. He's the kind of person to teach himself a skill or trade before going to someone else to have things done, and he considers a trial wasted that he did not learn something new in. With that said, Halle is an independent spirit when it comes to these sorts of pursuits, and he's very adverse to seeking out aid from other experts, preferring trial and error or written instructions to the more formal educational avenues. While around strangers, he can come off as lazy by conventional standards, those who actually get to know him will discover that Halle can be a very driven and cunning individual when he's seized by interest or passion.

by Halle
Born to a shopkeeper's daughter and her family's Lotharro slave, young baby Halle escaped the fate of many of his kind in the region of Melrath, though even to this day he still suffered some of the same prejudices and persecutions. His life has been a simple one thus far. Blessed with a family that cared for him and the benefits that came with the Melrathi citizenship. He helped tend the family shop for decades that was owned by his mother and grandfather before her, a general store in the Vildholm neighborhood of Raelia. It was believed Halle would take over ownership next, but despite showing a bit of aptitude, he never expressed a direct interest in that sort of business as he got older. Halle never stepped up when his parents finally decided to retire, so the shop was sold and closed down by a merchant in the city. If Halle was upset by this development, he never did express it.
Halle looked after his mother until the day she did in 717; his father had passed away over a decade prior and was not reborn. After she passed, Halle subsisted off of his family's inheritance, apparently in no rush to seek new employment in the following seasons. Nearing fifty, though, Halle has started to feel newfound stirrings that weren't there before. Only time will tell what will come out of any such newfound determination.
