Doran has been given the following task:
Following the events of the Forging, things on Scalvoris would never quite be the same. Each person present is given a task by one of the Immortals. It is entirely optional and will infer no negative consequence if you do not do it.
The Immortal who approaches Doran is Qylios
Qylios speaks to Doran and tells him that she knows how damaging her actions have been. She would like to truly understand the story of what happened here and how Enri was involved. She wonders if he would consider researching it and writing it all for her, so that she might be able to see the bigger picture.
Will you help?"
There is also a
PSF Ticket which is relevant here.
There are a few things you can do here. Here are some examples you might like to follow up! They're examples / ideas only - feel free to ignore / come up with new ones.
- Speak to Qylios - find out what she knows.
- Speak to Cassion - does the Storyteller know anything?
- Speak with Xiur - was Enri Xiur's Mortalborn child?
- Speak to people who were at one of the Baron's Murder Mystery evenings. There have been two with PCs. One and Two
- Visit the Scholar's Nook and find out anything you can there.
- Visit the Library and speak to Rose - especially regarding Cassion's Trial and the traditions there.
- Speak to the history professors at the University on Scalv
- Speak to Rez'na, the former Devout who lives on Immortals Tongue
- Research the books of Enri von Smooglenuff
- Research the links between Enri and the happenings leading to the Forging.

Thread with link: Of Nooks and Crannies
Summary of Thready: Doran visits the Scholar's Nook in order to find out what kind of books they have on Enri and the Smooglenuffs. He learns that Baron Rodrigues took the stories from the murder mysteries to the Nook for Cassion's trial. He finds stories of Enri doing heroic things and defeating monsters with wit and cunning, he learns the story of
Nero and the North Star, and he takes a look at "A Historical Study of the Pirate Lords of Scalvoris" by "Enri T’nooh-Meougg" which makes him wonder whether Enri learned about the Pirate Lords from his cousin who he suspects was a Pirate Lord.

| At some point, Doran will realise that T'nooh-Meougg is actually Smooglenuff, just each consonant is replaced with the next letter after it. So, S becomes T, M becomes N. There are a number of new tales in the repository for Traditions and Folk Tales - feel free to have a look at some of those - they might help! |

Thread with link: On the Trail of Cassion's Trial
Summary of Thready: Doran visits the library and researches Cassion's Trial. He finds out that Cassion visits Scalvoris Town for Cassion's Trial. When he asks Rose, the librarian, if she's ever met Cassion, she tells him that there is a handsome man that comes to the library every arc. He always looks a little different. She thinks that Cassion visits the library in disguise.
Doran finds a story about Enri's travels on a pirate ship which further cements his conviction that he accompanied the Pirate Lords for a time. Everything that he has learned so far gives Doran the impression that Enri is good and kind and adventures, but never mean or evil, despite his possible association with the Pirate Lords.
Lastly, Doran researches the traditions and folk talkes of Scalvoris. He learns the story of
Leopo and the story of
The Blue Beachcomber, the Blue Maiden and the Blue Sands, among other things, and wonders if Enri himself wrote some of those stories and took them to the library for Cassion's Trial.
Enri seems to have a penchant for anagrams and secret codes, but Doran considers it possible that he published some of the books under a pseudonym that doesn't have
anything to do with his real name.
Rather than simply
researching how Enri was involved, Doran plans on eventually
finding Enri himself and talking to him. He also plans his next steps - he wants to talk to historians, to the former Devout, and to Stan.

| Accepted! Finding Enri would be difficult but not impossible. Please submit the NPC to the Scalv Development Forum when you're ready - assume that he's very old, but leave the Mortalborn domains and abilities to me, I'll add it in |

Thread with link: Return to the Glass Temple
Summary of Thread:
Doran visits the Glass Temple and asks Stan if he has any other books like the book by Snoone von Rimgluffe that told the story of a child called Warde and that he gave him during the war.
Stan manages to procure a couple of books.
One of them is a diary of Enri’s daughter Xaria. In that diary, she asks her father why he decided to hand the Barony over even though he was still young and healthy. Doran learns that Enri wanted his children to have a chance as well. The diary also contains another mention of a family friend called Richard (Enri’s son Xad previously mentioned Richard in his book) – who Doran concludes is none other than the Immortal Xiur himself.
Another book contains a story about Enri and Cassion himself having an adventure in Valaris.
At the end of the thread, Doran has an epiphany. He is trying to find Enri himself and trying to figure out what he could be doing now. He doesn’t know what Enri looks like yet, but Mortalborn tend to resemble their Immortal parent - and Blessed often visit a shrine that is dedicated to the Immortal that marked them.
Doran thus asks Stan if someone who resembles Xiur ever visited the shrine of Cassion during his lifetime. Stan remembers a man that visited the shrine for several arcs in a row and that always looked quite youthful. So far, Doran has only hoped that Enri is still alive. This convinces him that he is. Enri disappeared from the public eye because he wanted to give his descendants a chance. He is out there, somewhere, having adventures.

| Accepted! At some point in the future (date / time determined by yourself), Doran will find a small necklace. It's hanging on a fence post / tree / etc as he walks past it - and he's alone. It is a locket with a drawing inside it of a man that looks remarkably like Stan described. |

Thread with link: A Promise Kept
Summary of Thread: Doran invites Professor Fridson to dinner at the Knight's Rest. He thinks that learning more about the Original and the Immortals that Enri is connected to might be helpful; besides he wants to make good on a promise (He told Professor Fridson they'd drink tea and talk about the Immortals, Emea and everything in between when everything is over.).
The professor can't tell Doran anything about Fei or Xiur that is helpful, although he shares his notes on his trip to the shrine of Fei in 717 with him.
When Doran shares the
details of his research so far with him though, the professor tells him about a man that helped after the collapse of the docks. He thinks that the Order might still have records about him. He agrees that Enri might still be alive and wonders if that man could be Enri.
Doran decides to visit the Order and try and learn more as soon as possible.

Accepted! When Doran visits the Order, they tell him of a man that helped. He was one of two who went into the rubble after everyone else had stopped.
1. The first man had dark hair and dark eyes, he rescued a small baby and a child - and he put candles where there were people, so that they could be found. They have his name as Arlo Creede - he was one of the group who saved the trapped women.
2. The second man matches the description Doran has of Enri (and if he's got it at that point, it also matches the image in the locket). His name was Henry Smoog. One of the Order members remembers him well - they went out for a drink together afterwards and he told her some tales of wild adventures. Feel free to make up some stories there, if you like! |

Thread with link: Festival of Sight
Summary of Thread: On his way to the Festival of Sight, Doran comes across a Belleflower Tree. When he approaches it, he notices a small necklace hanging from the tree. It’s a locket with a drawing inside. The man in the drawing looks remarkably like the one that Stan described to him. He looks like Enri von Smooglenuff!

Thread with link: Portrait of a Baron
Summary of Thread: After
Professor Fridson told him about a volunteer that helped out after the collapse of the docks and that might be Enri, Doran visits the Order oft he Adunih in order to find out more. His assistant Plia accompanies him. They talk to a Green Cloak, Rami, who met the volunteer. Doran asks Rami to describe him, and Plia draws him. The man that Rami met was indeed Enri. Doran is also able to confirm that he had a mark on his arm that looked just like his own mark of Sojourn.

Thread with link: Henry Smoog
Summary of Thread: After their conversation with Rami, Doran and Plia leave the Order of the Adunih. A Green Cloak, Bren, runs after them. He overheard them inquiring about the volunteer who helped out after the collapse of the docks and tells Doran that there are actually
two men that match his description.
One of the men turns out to be Arlo Creede, the other one was someone named Henry Smoog. When Doran shows Bren Plia’s drawing of Enri, Bren confirms that it’s the same man. Bren also tells Doran that Henry went out for a drink with another healer, Arjori, afterwards. Arjori shares some of the stories that Henry told her with Doran, in exchange for Doran talking about his experiences during the Forging – including one about an adventure in Melrath. Henry was looking for clues as to mortalkind’s past in the ruins in Fensalir.
Both Arjori and Doran agree that Henry – or Enri – might still be in Scalvoris. He is someone that wants to support the island in times of crisis – and there has been no bigger crisis than the war against Slag’s Deep recently. Doran is confident that he’ll be able to find Enri soon. Several people have described Enri to him – and the descriptions all match – he has Plia’s drawing, and the locket, and learned a lot of stories. Maybe, all he has to do is show people the drawing and ask though?

here and a direct sequel of

Accepted. You now have enough that Enri will seek Doran out and they can finally meet. This can be a modded thread, which I'm happy to do. Thank you for submitting Enri to the Development queue. I love what you've done. |

Once you've met Enri - will you do the final part of Qylios' task and write it all down!? Awesome work!
