Fantasy RPG Forum - Standing Trials

If I wish to have Natalia learn about dreamwalking in theory (information only currently), taking into account that its being redone and I don't want to skip into any trouble spots, can I have her learn info that's currently in the dreamwalking skill write up, up to lucid and walking without causing any major breaches?

It's unlikely that she'd be able to find out on her own, without being told explicitly these things by a dreamwalker, and even that wouldn't lead to a real understanding of them. Those are specifics about dreamwalking that are considered restricted knowledge that typically only dreamwalkers would have any real awareness of.

Sorry - I wasn't clear. I do plan to dev an npc dreamwalker for her to talk to. She's not learning the information on her own. It's not a formal training type situation at all, either. She's been told dreamwalking is a thing and I thought the next step for her would be asking some questions about it. At least until the rework is done and/or she runs into a pc that can teach her more about the subject.

Unfortunately, personal npcs cannot have dreamwalking as a starting skill. And I'm not sure about City NPCs, for that you'd have to consult the local mod to where you want to investigate. So your options may be to talk to a PC with dreamwalking, or else wait for the rework and a potential initiation.
