Hello all, so you may have questions about the Writing Challenge for 2022, or may want to coordinate with your fellow players by advertising interest in collaborating on certain ones.

This is the space to do it!

Feel free to use this thread to introduce yourself, connect with other players & participants, talk about your challenge plans, and ask questions about the event.

We encourage you to post here if you've decided to participate in the event so that you can find writing buddies to help hold you accountable and egg you on! I'll be popping in regularly to answer any and all questions that come up.

I'm looking forward to doing this challenge/contest with my own pcs as well. If anyone would need someone to partner with on the Thread challenges, I'd offer Woe up for that.

2. Give a nickname to another PC in-thread.
3. Have a PC tell a story from their childhood to a PC.
4. Get into a fight (Verbal or Physical) with another PC.

Particularly these ones that require they be a collaboration.

I love this kind of thing - count me very much in! I'm in the same boat as Dan - I need to finish up some threads, but yes, indeed. I think I'm going to try and enter as both Faith and Perdita. I think.

I assume having a description of my home already in my CS doesn't count for the challenge. Would an already existing Storybook count, or would someone who already had one, have to make a new one in order to complete the challenge?

Yes having a description of your pc's home in the cs already isn't what we're looking for. We'd expect yout o write an original one in either a thread or something like the storybook or a plot notes if you really wanted? Just as long as it's original and sufficiently different from anything you've written on the forums before about your home. We'd hope that players don't copy paste the CS description of their home, anyways. But we're operating largely on the honor system. As long as there's a detailed description you can point to, that's okay.

For those who already have a storybook thread, you need only add to the existing storybook with a new post, and that will count!
