Picture:

Name: The Gentle Stone (Revertyte)
Title: The student's well
Class: Class 0
Nature: Natural
Offensive Power: None
Smog: None
Latent Power: This well has no smog or offensive effect at all when refined. However, it is never refined for long. A fully refined Revertyte well will return to its raw state within a trial. It is called the gentle stone because if a pressure point breaks, the stone will not explode—instead, it will crack ever so slightly. These cracks will disappear in five trials, and a stone can sustain three sets of cracks before shattering. Because of this, these stones are coveted by ensorcelling teachers, as they make the perfect practice for novices to use without risk.
Conditions: Rarely found in the heart of major and grand fractures.

Hi Praetorum,
I like this, it's a really useful thing to have for example in a Uni or teaching setting.
I'm just wondering exactly how rare it would be to find in a Major Fracture. Also, you said large fracture, rather than major/grand. Was that intentional?
Like, say how great a skill (bearing flexibility in mind, either mining, appraisal, or detection) would be needed to find one in the Heart of a fracture?

Whoops, edited to change large to major/grand, thanks for catching that.
I'm not really sure about the rarity or the skill needed, to be honest. The wells primer is a little vague on exactly how rare wells are in general, so I don't have a strong baseline, but I'm inclined to say that you'd need expert in a skill to detect them once you're in a fracture—but the real cause of its rarity is the difficulty in getting into a major fracture and surviving to get out.

Fair enough.
Approved!
