[Information!] Character Sheet Review Checklist

Character Sheet Review Checklist
So you're reviewing a new CS! Here are some things to look out for.
Does the CS include...
- Character name?
- Age?
- Race?
- Date of birth?
- Languages spoken (one fluent, one broken)?
- Factions joined (optional)?
- Appearance?
- Personality?
- History?
- Housing (aligns with starter pack)?
- Skills, including:
- 2 competent skills at 26 and the knowledges to be at that level (11)
- 3 novice skills at 10
- A racial bonus novice skill at 25
- A fast track skill?
- Blessing & initial abilities (if applicable)?
- A prized possession (excluding arcane artifacts)?
- Items list (should match starter pack)?
- Ledger?
- Renown ledger?
- Thread list?
Questions to ask yourself:
- Have all special approvals been obtained and added to the player's Wiki - mortalborn, blessings, etc? if not, make a note on the CS Approval PM reminding the player to update their CS when these are approved
- Is the character an approved mixed race combination (if applicable)?
After approving the CS, did you...
- Create a wiki page for the new player?
- Send the player a PM with:
- A warm welcome?
- Approved starting renown?
- CS Approval Reward?
- A starting quest (optional for the player - all new pcs should get one)?
- Edit the player's CS so that it has a green approval checkmark?
- Delete the CS review request from the review queue?
- Request that the character be moved into the "Approved Users" group?

Special Approvals & Reminders
A list of special race or city approvals/reminders for CS reviewers to keep in mind!
Eídisi: Allowed to have a max. of 3 starting languages (2 Fluent, 1 Broken)
Mer: Have a special
Mer Starter Pack.
Mortal Born: Must submit an approval request to the Support Forum.
Sev'ryn: Must submit their Familiar story to the Support Forum for approval.
Tunawa: Have a special
Tunawa Starter Pack.
Etzos: No slaves allowed! Slaves must be kept outside the walls, and have all the rights of any other person while inside the city.
Viden: Any knowledge of the
Facility for Retrospective Analysis must be approved by a Viden mod.
Audrae and worship of Audrae is despised. Approval must be obtained by a Viden mod to include Audrae worship in a character's history.
PCs starting with magic must include their initiation story in their character history. Best practice is for the CS reviewer to award "[Magic]: Initiation" as a knowledge in the CS Rewards.
Magic is not an applicable Fast Track skill.
Players may only begin with two magics upon start up. The rest must be learned in roleplay.
Tunawa and
Wisps cannot learn magic
Yludih cannot learn Becoming.
If a
Naerikk tried to learn Becoming they would never be a Naerikk again.

Character Sheet Approval Rewards
This guide is to help both Players and CS Reviewers understand what to reward and how much to reward to a new player at the time of character sheet approval. Keep in mind that the rewards are based off of the quality of your character sheet and attempts to match a character's skills with their background information. You will not be rewarded with everything your character could know or be able to do at the time of start up because the amount of skills and knowledge given at that time are limited. These additional skill points and knowledge will be given based on key points in a character's history.
What is this reward and how do you get it?
This reward system is only used on character sheets that are being approved for the first time. This reward is given only upon approval of the character sheet. If there are mistakes on your sheet, you will be notified and it is expected of you to correct them before you may begin role play again and receive this reward. The skill points and knowledge that is rewarded to you upon approval are based off of the information that you've listed on your sheet. If there is minimal information listed, that is, just a very brief and basic summary of your character's history, don't expect to receive a decent reward. Our CS Reviewers will be looking for key points in your character's history so that they can reward you with those skills or knowledge. Please make a note of this when developing your character.
There are only a set amount of skills, skill points, and knowledge a CS Reviewer will reward to a new player. That is based off of their judgement and the information listed in your sheet. A CS Reviewer may:
- You may not award any skill points to skills already at 25 points.
- Reward up to 10 (in certain cases 15) points to the character. These can be divided between up to 4 skills that are relevant to the character's background.
- Reward a total of 2-8 skill knowledge.
- Reward a Starter Quest (a self-moderated quest to help a new character establish the beginning of their story).
Be aware that the rewards are given to your character are at the prophet's discretion. They do not have to reward you the full amount.
