[Krome] Weapons of War

The package had arrived and Celeste did not doubt that what she had here were the weapons of war. Having arrived in Krome some time before, having found out that she was to be married to this man only once she had arrived here, Celeste had not been able to fully prepare.
However, as soon as she had arrived, she had written to her tailor in Andaris and now, here were the items that she ordered. Opening up the parcel which had arrived, she looked at each item and she nodded. Xander Krome would be hers, heart, body and soul.
Yes, he would. She did not doubt it for he was a man and they were weak.
But.
No, she could not think that way. She could not believe that there might be good men in the world. A man like Xander Krome could not afford to be a good man, and she knew that. He was putting on a good front but he was a man and that meant that he was like her father, his father, her brother, or, like Alistair Venora, he was more interested in other men. But Xandr Krome was not, she was quite sure, interested in other men. He appreciated the way that she looked, she had seen him look at her. He liked that she did not follow fashion, he liked simple, elegant clothing and complex, elegant women. She would be sure to give him both. So, she rummaged in the parcel and started the process of sorting out the clothing.
This was, after all, the first step. It would be a long and drawn out campaign, Celeste had no doubt; she did not wish to engage in anything resembling intimacy with Xander Krom or any man, but that was not the point. It did not matter what she wanted, it was here and, so, she would be prepared for it.
After all. She was her mother's daughter.
