Breaking a Well involves treating it with specific energies using unique Ensorcelling tools, causing irreversible damage in exchange for unique powers.

=Types of Breaking=

'''Burning''' involves treating with a constant stream of 'heated' energy, creaking black streaks across the length of the Well. Bubbles often appear on the surface of more globular Wells. Burned Wells constantly feel hot to the touch, almost scalding the skin if held for too long.

'''Freezing''' involves treating with a constant stream of 'cooled' energy, creating white streaks and faint cracks along the surface as the Well grows cold and shrinks in on itself. Frozen Wells constantly feel incredibly cold to the touch, creating a sensation of pins and needles if held for too long.

'''Melting''' involves treating the Well with powerful corrosive energies that eat off the surface of the Well, often leaving it with an exceptionally smooth, shiny surface. 'Droplets' and bulges are also common. Melted Wells give off a foul smell that burns the nose and can leave one feeling light-headed if exposed to it for long periods of time.

'''Crushing''' involves pinching the Well between two separate blasts of powerful energy in a short burst, giving the Well a flattened appearance, often creating jagged shapes along the outer curve.

'''Cracking''' involves blasting the Well with a sharp, concentrated burst of energy to one particular region, much like one would strike a chisel with a hammer. This creates a spiderweb of cracks from the point of impact spanning the full surface of the Well.

'''Stretching''', much like Crushing, involves pinching the Well between two separate blasts of energy, except in this case the energies must be reversed and directed outward, pulling the Well in two separate directions at once. This can often leave the Well looking longer or wider than normal, its insides warped into cracked and uneven textures by the pressure.

'''Warping''' is a more complex treatment, considered a mixture between Stretching and Cracking, requiring a constant drag of energy mixed with sharp stabs of concentrated energy at uneven angles, dramatically changing the shape of the Well and leaving it looking twisted and uneven. Bright, unnatural colours often flare from deep inside the Well if stared at for a long period of time.
