Kein {War}

Image
Name of Creation: Kein {War}
Creation Type: Necromancy Thrall
Brief Notes on the Creation: Has a Human body as a base, standing at 6ft and is covered in black armor. Has an Emetyte Well & is a gaunt type thrall

History/Origin Story: Created from the remnants of a Yaralon Wall Guard. He is supposed to an embodiment of War and mimics an aggressive stance in its interactions.

Powers/Abilities/Effects:
Emetyte Well - Higher speed, strength, durability, and regeneration

Husk Call: Kein is capable of raising two husk warriors under its control/influence to aid in battle.

One Man Army: Kein is able to fight against multiple enemies with ease. It is a capable warrior on the battlefield, decimating the enemy single-handedly and with near supernatural finesse thanks to the Emetyte well at its core. This ability can manifest in various ways but is usually the result of its extreme skill in longsword combat.

Ether pulse: By infusing ether from the well at its core into its longsword, Kein can release pillar of ether that radiates outwards within 60ft radius and scorches the opponent with its intense raw ether energy. This ability allows the user to dispatch many foes at once. If he charges 85% of the power of the well, he can release a wave of ethereal energy strong enough to ravenge a small group of soldiers

Other Information:
Skills:
Longsword: Master
Stealth: Master
Acrobatics: Expert
Leadership: Expert
Detection: Expert
Running: Competent
Unarmed Combat: Competent

Re: Kein {War}

So far this is an interesting concept so far into the process. I have just a few questions for you:

1.) Why make it Gaunt level? For the strength of its abilities and the strength of its skills, this level of thrall seems low. Even with a gaunt needing Expert leveled Necro, it still is a basic thrall. Personally, this seems like maybe a a lesser Rot Knight (a Rot Squire if you will) or even a form of Revenant.

2.) One Man Army: This seems alitle overpowered, but that maybe just me.

3.) Ether Bomb: This is kind of confusing and again appears to be over powered. The ability to push, damage, blind, AND paralyze people? As well the ability to destroy a village? May need to tone that down just a bit.

4.) How many "Thralls" does this creation cost to maintain?

Over all I like the concept you are pushing for. As it appears to me it appears to be some form of stepping stone from the "basic" thralls to the Rot Knights, with some qualities of the Revenants. It is just my opinion that the Thrall needs alittle more balancing, especially for the level of Thrall that it is.

- At the level Cervantez is now, Gaunt is the closest thing to a strong thrall he can raise. He would be able to make a rot knight or revenant till Mastery.

2}One Man Army: This seems alitle overpowered, but that maybe just me.

- Compared to the original description I toned it done a bit, but I can shave it back a little more. It was simply drawing off of the type of well he would have in his core as it grants him higher speed, strength, durability, and regeneration.

3} Ether Bomb: This is kind of confusing and again appears to be over powered. The ability to push, damage, blind, AND paralyze people? As well the ability to destroy a village? May need to tone that down just a bit.

- Thats fine I can trim it back a bit

4} How many "Thralls" does this creation cost to maintain?

- Four, but if his mutation rework gets approved, it will cost only two

Understandable, I can see the point. Personally, I am not sure this concept fits the "Gaunt" archetype. But that is just my personal opinion. Others my disagree.

- Compared to the original description I toned it done a bit, but I can shave it back a little more. It was simply drawing off of the type of well he would have in his core as it grants him higher speed, strength, durability, and regeneration.

Like above, I understand the thought process behind the design. I think my issue with the ability (and the skill power that goes with it) is you have an Expert level Thrall with Master level abilities. Not only does it have the ability to raise its own thralls (though a lesser version) found in a Rot Knight. It also has 4 Tier Skills, 1 Expert Skill, and 2 Competent Skills.

I know you have a "Rot Knight" level well inside, thus should make it more powerful. Which I agree with. But this is just food for thought.

- Thats fine I can trim it back a bit (Ether Bomb)

See my reply to the One Man Army, I understand the thought process behind it. But feel it is just too much (in addition to raising its own thralls and the 'One Man Army') for an expert level thrall.

- Four, but if his mutation rework gets approved, it will cost only two
May I suggest five... The thought process would be, with your discount it would be three. Which would end up being 1 'point' per thrall (the Rot Squire plus its two thralls).

Like I said in my original reply. I like the concept. Just has a few, in my opinion, balancing points to address. But alas, I am just providing my own personal opinion, others may not agree with me. Keep up the good work!
