The Harbingers (Webspinner Offbranch)

The Harbingers

Working as an off-branch of Webspinners, the Harbingers act as Sintra's personal 'messengers'. Their speciality is death, their art murder. Every member of the Harbingers is a trained killer in their own right, be it through poisons, combat or other unique styles that each will develop over time. If there is one thing they can guarantee, however, it's that the Harbingers will always find their targets. Nobody is safe in the clutches of the Webspinners, each Harbinger acting as a spider that catches any unsuspecting prey that falls into their sights.

There are many ways to join the group, albeit a small one as of now. Most prominently is a current commitment to Sintra and a talent with killing, leading to a letter or invitation to appear in the home of the potential member with all the details they need to find and join the Harbingers. However, it has been known for members to find members in all areas of life, be it taking in and training a slave or offering someone poor a better life on the condition of loyalty. Putting to use the abilities their Immortal grants them, these men and women are compelling in their words and efficient in their work.

Always moving, this faction owns many properties across Idalos, each city a potential nest for their work. Currently, however, their safehouses are the living areas of other members, large houses with hidden compartments and training areas. The cities currently inhabited, and therefore safer for a Harbinger, are Rynmere, Etzos, Scalvoris and Ne'haer. However, any city is a fitting place for a Harbinger with the right information - and the right contracts.

Terminology

Divine One: Sintra-The Leader of the Webspinners
The Nightmare: Kielik-Not actually part of the Webspinners, but they all answer to him as he serves Sintra.
Mother: Labrae-The one who took and raised the Webspinners, frequently given more respect than Sintra and generally well loved by the Webspinners, whom Labrae regards as her children.

Messengers: A codeword used to describe the members of the Harbingers.

Note: The Harbingers use no ranking system, each member having an equal say in whatever they do as well as being allowed to opt out of contracts if they prefer. However, suspicion will be raised if someone continues to avoid their commitment to the Harbingers. While there is no official leader, Damon is the highest ranking Webspinner of the group and has the most experience, often able to sway others to do as he says - hence him being the only NPC written.

Damon

Name: Damon
Race: Human
Date of Birth: 81st Zi'da, 677
Skills: Blades: Stealth (Master), Longsword (Expert), Unarmed: Fěnsuìle (Expert), Strength (Competent)
Marks: Lethroda (Exalted)
Appearance: Standing at just over six feet of height, Damon is a man with a hardened look in his eyes and a body built for fighting. Despite his experience fighting there are few scars over his body, due to the style of fighting he prefers. While he can use a Longsword well enough, sneaking around and using his unarmed is a preferred fighting style for him. Brown eyes, black hair and tanned skin mix with his face shape to show the hardened side of the man.
Personality: Experienced with death, be it of his enemies or his allies, Damon looks at life with a somewhat bleak outlook. Yet he has hope. With the help of the Webspinners the man believes he can be a part of a bigger movement, creating a unified world under the watch of Sintra. He has no questions as to whether he is a moral man or not, fully understanding that what he does is wrong. But the dreams he possesses outweigh any amount of morals.
Relationship to the Harbingers: As one of the earlier members, taken on be a Webspinner that trained him as he has begun training others, Damon has a close tie to the Harbingers and would do whatever it took for the success of the group - even if it meant disposing of anyone that stands against their interests.
