⌘ If the naerikk new it would be this cold, she would have never volunteered to do a patrol around the town of Caervalle. She was grateful to say the least, as it got her out of the cathedral and the monotony of the usual duties there. At least here she would have a chance to have some excitement if there was any to be had of course.

As she did her patrol, she felt a little better about the citizens. From what she had experienced for herself, not all rharnians where nice people. Somewhere vile, far more so than they made her kin out to be. But with every bad came the good, and these townsfolk were definitely showing her that.

She would garner quaint nods and waves, smiles and hellos, and return them in kind. Another perk she loved about the job. The people only saw the robe and saw her in such a grand light. They had no idea she was of Audrae's ilk.

It was definitely a nice feeling, even if they weren't seeing her for who she was. But even the good bunch has some bad apples among them. She could tell from those that walked by her that something, someone seemed to be upsetting them.

Every face she happened to glance at had that same look, one of disdain and disgust, as if they had seen an abomination. Not skipping a beat she went in the direction of whatever was causing the disturbance. She wasn't really sure where it could have been, but when she scanned the area of the faces around her she used that as a compass of sorts to navigate the area.

As she came around a corner, her eyes flared in shock at what she saw. A group of townsfolk seemed to have surrounded the thing, and as she peered through the crowd she could see the woman.

It was an elderly woman it seemed, but she couldnt be sure through the see of people. Whatever was happening didn't look all that good in her eyes, and she knew her job would demand she step in and sooth the situation. Taking a deep breath she moved forward into the crowd.

As she waded through the people, she could easily sense the hate and disgust of the townsfolk, the tension so thick, a blade could cut everyone a slice of it. She didnt have the social skills to deal with a situation like this if things got ugly, but she knew she would do what she could to dissuade harm on either side.

Moving through the crowd she finally made her way through the crowd and stood in front of the woman. She was hideous to say the least, her skinned marred and covered in lesions, her hair was frail and thin. Yavanna thought she held her shock back, but it was clear by the saddened face of the woman that the naer's facial expression betrayed her intentions.

She couldnt help it, but the realization that the crowd was volatile behind her snapped her out of her shock. She turned, prepared to face these people. She just hoped they didnt turn on her. ⌘
