Isa was born in Rharne to her mother Clari, a thunder priestess who raised her on her own with her older sister Mila, neither knew their father and their mother refused to talk about it, so both of the two assumed that their fathers were different men, as Clari had no partner that they knew about during their childhoods.
Isa's mother raised her in hopes that she would choose to become a thunder priestess like her, but never forced her aspirations on the child. Isa instead found a love for painting, a hobby that her sister had taken up and quickly discarded after getting bored. Isa idolised her older sister, and quickly took to copying whatever she did, but unlike Mila she stuck with painting, finding that she enjoyed it and was talented.
Clari taught both of the sisters common sign, telling the two that their grandmother hadn't been able to hear, so that was why she knew it and could speak it fluently. Isa struggled to learn it.
Despite Isa's dislike of it at first, her mother insisted she still learn how to fight even if she wouldn't become a priestess, so she was taught unarmed combat along with Mila. Her mother also taught her about Ilaren, and about meditation and discipline, as she still hoped that as her daughter grew older she would change her mind and want to become a priestess.
In 712 Clari became sick, and quickly the two daughters realised it was unlikely she would recover, and their mother passed away near the end of the arc. Isa and Mila quickly learned to take care of themselves more, the two splitting household chores and Mila taking jobs so they'd have enough money to cope without Clari. Even without her mother, Isa continued on as she had wanted, learning unarmed combat.
Tired of being reminded of her mother everywhere she went, Isa decided she wanted to travel and see different things and people to draw and paint as well as to get away from the constant reminders of her mother and being treated with pity from those around her who knew her as an orphan and a child. Hearing of the university and how she might be able to study art there, she decided to head to Viden first and arrives on the 1st of Vha'lar 719.

Personality: Mila is much louder than her half sister, she's outspoken, brash, and doesn't waste any time trying to be polite to people she disagrees with unless she thinks it's necessary. She has mainly good intentions, however is often rude to people without meaning to be. She is very protective over Isa.
