WP might be awarded in a moderated thread. But really, the way you make money outside of a wealth thread is by doing stuff in a thread which would make you money. Sorry - that sounds a bit circular. But, for instance, you might craft and sell some items, you might be hired to do a job, do it, and get paid. On Scalv the Odd Jobs and Bounties are kind of prompts for players to give ideas for extra money-making.
