"116 undead attacked our house last night. they were stopped by our very dear friend, Qit'ria, who lost her life in the process. her baby, Caza, is here and is being protected. i found Qit, and i've spent last night and part of to-trial investigating the murder.

i have detailed notes on placement, measurements, we've retrieved wells? and i have experienced the death of each and every one of them. the majority of them were simply reanimated from death and had no information. however, there were 5 which gave us information. 5 tortured individuals, chosen to be made into specific and truly horrifying types of undead.

the woman in question is called Ellasin. i have seen her, i know what she looks like. i believe she is a lich?, but how in the name of all the immortals she gets to look so pretty and be one, i do not know. she's powerful. very powerful.

we have the soulstones? and the wells that she used. i am hoping that these will be able to lead us to her. so. cards on the table. they attacked because i am Famula's champion. i have been for a while. i have recently developed the ability to remove the necromancy spark from mages. i've used it here, in Rharne, when a necromancer had been working with an alchemist and created a plague which killed and then trapped souls. i guess we drew attention. so. that leads us to the plan.

the plan is to protect this place, these people. our children.

once we are sure that the people here are safe, which is being done as we speak, we investigate. we find her. i take her spark from

her and we bring her to justice. in whatever form she forces us to do it. i suspect she will not go down without a fight and frankly that's just fine with me."

- imedyte, uncommon: twice as powerful as ezymite, repairs undead
- emetyte, rare: fast healing, undead are made more dangerous
- obstimyte, very rare: fast healing, super strength, super speed, super tough, used to create phylactery

lich

- undead but does not appear undead, very strong magic, fast healing
- phylactery: obstimyte well made into soulstone for lich's soul, phylactery is hidden to protect it, hard to destroy
- lich body can be destroyed but lich will still survive
- can control many many thralls for a short time, unlimited?
- can control fewer thralls for a long time, over long distances. how many? less than 40? some thralls are harder to control

a long time ago, there was a girl. the girl had many loves. she loved ships and sailing. she loved the sky. she loved people and adventure. but most of all, she loved to sing and she loved the sea.

every night, the girl sang to the sea. from the time it was dark to the time it was light she sang.

the girl sang every night and throughout the arcs, the sea fell in love with her. the sea loved her such that when she sang, the sound of her voice could be heard in each droplet of water. the girl sang and, through the love of the sea, her voice became the waves.

and every night a boy who loved the sea listened to her as she sang. until one night he came to meet her.

his name was U'frek.

the boy began to sing in a voice like silver. and the girl sang with him. together their voices were the story of the sea. its beginning, and its love.

and so they sang together every night. the boy would come from the waves and they would sing from the time it was dark to the time it was light. every night they sang. every night.

every night the girl sang to the sea. and then, when the arcs of her life had passed, she could no longer sing.

no song U'frek sang, no matter how silver, could bring the girl back.

and eventually, he stopped singing.

for a full night when the girl's voice had gone, the whole of the sea stood still.

upon that night, U'frek took the silver in his voice and he put it into his eyes, where the sea was able to mourn.

and that's the story of why U'frek's eyes are silver.
