Prospect Tavern
The Prospect Tavern is located not very far outside of Almund. It was once a blacksmith's shop but was converted into a Tavern and Inn some time in 652 after the ownership of the tavern mysteriously changed. It is a decent place with good enough rooms by Almund standards. You can almost always get a hot meal here or a drink to warm yourself. Not very much is known about the Prospect Tavern due to it's odd location. It has always been "that one tavern just outside the city."
There are rumors that the blacksmith who built the shop killed his family with his hammers which have only been worsened by rumors that the owner before Hallorand did the same to his family. Many people who call Almund home make and effort to avoid the Prospect Tavern as a result of it's diminished reputation but it still manages to get enough business from travelers to stay in business. Those who do stay within the Tavern often find themselves plagued by strange dreams and noises.
There is certainly something afoot.

Jackson is a good host who values privacy- both his own and the privacy of those staying in his tavern. Jackson is the public face of the tavern, he is the one who stands behind the bar taking orders for drinks and food. He is the one who shows guests to their room. He does everything that requires being seen and it causes service to become rather slow during busy days. There are a few other members of the staff but they're relegated mostly to the kitchen and the laundry. Whenever someone sees one of the other members of the staff, it is always briefly and in passing.
