Cold Cycle: 718

Weather
Vhalar Weather:
From the heat of Saun stumbles the warmth of Vhalar. It's a gentle warmth that caresses the crops with kisses of the Idalos suns. Rain is kind of sparse for the first part of the season, and strangely there's even a snowfall early in the season causing most of the first harvest to fail. The second and third harvests prove more fruitful as the weather settles. Occasional drizzles across the season and one good rain between the 63rd and 69th. There are many quakes through out the season, and after the fire, things are slowly growing back. That is until Zi'da starts.

Zi'da Weather:
Zi'da marks the start of the coldest seasons. Starting the 5th of Zi'da an extreme heat wave akin to Saun's heat melts away any snow, first flooding zones of the forest, and then whisking away the water's from the river of the area, leaving fish found on the shore. The heat wave lasts until the 14th when snow starts to fall again. The heat falling away and the chill of Zi'da really starts. With this, many animals go into hibernation, meaning it's harder for food to be found. Snow slows down starting the 28st, but then blazes back on the 71st. The pier and waters near it are iced over for most of the latter half of the season. Immortals only know how crazy Cylus might be.

Seasonal Events
Vhalar:
Vhalar 1st: Information : Self Mod
This is the first day without two suns high in the sky and while still warm it has become much more bearable and people take to the streets that evening to celebrate the return of night. Most of the clean up from the fires of Suan is done. Still though there are missing persons that are being looked for either among the ashes of the great blaze now known as the TriBloodFire in reference to the bad luck the Blood Moon's in Ymiden caused. The cause of the fire still unknown.
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should note that in Saun a lot of people died, you are more than welcome to go on a search for missing folks and to find some. There seem to be no clues at this time as to the cause of the fire and there begins to be a worry about food, as the area burned included a lot of crops.

Vhalar 15th: Information: Self Mod
Weather has been warm and dry up until this point but those waiting to go out into the woods to gather the crop hope it will rain a little before the time comes offering a juicier and larger haul if they are lucky. Later in the night, a strange sound comes from the forest, like the forest itself is crying out for help. The winds kick up, and the ground shakes for a bit, but past that, nothing is out of the ordinary.
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should make sure to read the next day and follow on ones , as these earth tremors get worse. If your pc is out during the evening, note the events of the next day.

Vhalar 16th: Event: Self Mod
The slight ground tremors and the strange sounds of the night before turn out to have been something, after all. There are reports throughout the forests that animals are behaving oddly, skittishly. A number of animal corpses are found throughout the forests and beyond - yet none of them have any apparent cause of death.
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should take the opportunity to get some free dead animal (hunters etc) but if you take it to be sold / start to butcher it yourself etc - the meat is rancid.

Vhalar 20th: Information: Self Mod
There is a sudden shift in weather, as a deep chill fills the air. By mid-trial, snow is falling and doesn't stop for a couple trials. Some of the weaker crops fail for the first harvest. There is a growing fear that those of Desnind might not be able to survive through Zi'da and Cylus. These snows stop by the 26 and the weather starts to warm up again.
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should just note it as a weather point.

Vhalar 25th: Event: Self Mod
A fight breaks out around the firepit, apparently regarding food supplies and how the forthcoming shortage should be dealt with. There are minor injuries and mostly wounded pride - but this is a very rare thing in Desnind and the elders start to worry about the difficulties of the next few seasons and the forthcoming food shortages.
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should note that, for Desnind, this is really shocking. They don't do fights like this. Some people will start to think that whatever is affecting the animals is also impacting the ones with two legs.

Vhalar 27th: Event: Self Moderation
A ceremony is held in memory of those that were lost in the fires of Saun, both those who worked to try and stop the blaze and those unfortunate enough to be caught in it's monstrous grasps. The ceremony happens just before night fall outside of Moseke's temple and people create perishable offerings to the lost that are left at the steps of the temple as a sign of respect. The local Sev'ryn throughout this evening all notice that their connections with their familiars seem to be off. Many report at this time that while having conversations with their familiar, they feel an overwhelming sense of grief and loss.
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should note that the issue with familiars continues as a theme throughout the season. Don't over play it here, but it's a big deal

Vhalar 30th: Information
With the final tally of the first harvest, there are dark times ahead in Desnind. Even if the second harvest is maximum, there are going to be food shortages, following the fires of Saun, which destroyed many crops. A plea goes out for people to donate food stuff. The Order of the Adunih, previously a small group within Desnind, step forward and begin to co ordinate efforts to see Moseke's lands through the dark seasons ahead.
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should note that this is an opportunity to start working with the Order of the Adunih and to earn some good renown!

Vhalar 40th: Event: Self Mod
A lot of time has been put in by the Cikkaken over in what was the Eastern forests, they have already set to work with trying to bring lifer back into the burnt up area. Many doubt the forest there will ever truly recover but those with faith continue to pray to the Earth Mother that the land there will one day be revitalized. On the 40th Vhalar, the population of Desnind, or as many as possible, go out to the scorched earth and hold a full trial (all day and all night) vigil and pray for the land.
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should note that, this one is about community. There is a very real sense of the whole of Desnind coming together on this trial and anyone who starts trouble etc will be quickly dealt with. PM Peg for plot notes

Vhalar 62nd: Moderated Event
Strange cries are heard from the forest once more. Like it's crying out in pain once more. This time, it's more urgent. The tremors are more violent, the wind howls, and a deep feeling of sadness seems to hang in the air. A small group assemble to investigate!
There will be sign ups for this.

Vhalar 70th: (Idalos wide event)
The Objagon tree is shaking and groaning. The Tunawa are worried but find themselves feeling more revitalized than ever. There is a question as to what is happening around Desnind, but the rest of Idalos is in for some serious surprises.
This will be an announcement which impacts gloabally

Vhalar 99th: Mini Event: Moderated Thread
Tialadani - "The Harvest" takes place: While Desnind is home to a wide variety of fruits, veggies, and insects, this arc the crops have been seriously damaged by the Saun fires. Tialadani, the celebration of the harvest, is a muted affair this arc. In a break with tradition, there are no fires on the ground, although musicians and dancers congregate and celebrate with dancing and singing. The usual roasting of animals and sampling of produce is
not evident either, as there are insufficient stores for the arc already. Still, there is a festival like atmosphere and the singing and dancing occurs around Moseke's temple, where there may even be a surprise visitor among the populace.
Sign up for this forthcoming

Vhalar 108th: Event: Self Moderation
The trial of the third and final harvest of the season as Desnind preps for the cold of Zi'da and Cylus. The gatherers that step into the forest will find that there are a few trees that have suffered from root rot and many of the berry bushes they had checked before for food are now sick, diseased, and or dead/rotting. The chill of Zi'da is creeping up on Desnind. What is happening with the forest?
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should note that, the weather is freezing and the sense of worry about the trees having root rot is enormous. A good chance for hunting, gathering and spooky stuff!

Vhalar 123rd: Event
We bid goodbye to the season as Vhalar comes to an end. Small celebrations speckle Desnind, lit up by the Iyo. No large fires (as is the rules of Desnind) as snow starts to flutter in the night. This trial is a trial to reflect on the arc so far, and many people are still leaving offerings at Moseke's temple for those lost in the TriBloodFire.
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should note that, this is a largely social event, why not use it to meet new people?

Zi'da:

Zi'da 1st: Event: Self Mod
During the late afternoon there are a number of situations where animals stampede. No one knows why - one child is killed and a few others (two children, three elderly Sev'ryn) are injured when they don't get out of the way. There is definitely something strange going on with the animals. Will someone investigate?
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should note that this is part of a larger plot. PM Peg for details!.
Zi'da 5th: Information: Self Mod
Once more, the ground beneath the people of Desnind's feet shakes and there is a most unusual ten-bit-long wave of heat rising from the ground. This melts the snow just as quickly as it appeared. Some of the rivers start drying, and fish are found dead and rotting on the shores. Panic starts to ensue - with crop shortages, strange animal behaviour and rotting fish, how will the people survive?
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should note that this is part of a larger plot. PM Peg for details!.

Zi'da 9th: Event: Self Mod
A group come in to Desnind, musicians and acrobats. They seem friendly and they keep many entertained around the fire pit. A number of women are tempted into stranger's beds that night and the three nights after. Married women, too, find themselves tempted by this travelling troupe. Yet their music is excellent. Will anyone investigate?
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should note that this group is more than it seems! PM Peg for details!.

Zi'da 14th: Information: Self Mod
Further worry settles in over the already concerned general mood of the city. Communication with familiars continues to be strained and difficult for some Sev'ryn Those affected report that it feels like there is a barrier between them and their companions. What could it be?
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should note that this is part of a larger plot. PM Peg for details but note this is for SOME Sev'ryn only, you don't have to play your Sev'ryn this way if you don't want to!

Zi'da 23rd: Mod Input Event
Meeting of the Chikkaken: Plants, animals, rivers and the very ground itself seem to be turning on Desnind. This meeting will be a semi-moderated event where players can engage with the Chikkaken if they wish. PM Peg for plot notes.

Zi'da 31st: Information: Self Mod
Hunters are having a harder time finding animals for fresh kills, and trade ships are having a hard time coming in as the shore and docks are iced over. Defiance mages are working hard, but there is very limited access to resources. Once Zi'da 50th passes, Desnind is effectively cut off from the outside world.
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should note that there is a sense of panic starting to happen - there are likely to be a few merchants who will take advantage of that.

Zi'da 45th: Information: Self Mod
Desnind supplies are low, but with strict rationing and the help of every single citizen with a garden, they will manage. However, rationing is strict and there is a growing sense of suspicion. People caught hoarding food are dealt with harshly.
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should note that from this date on ALL PCs (and NPCs) are subjected to food rationing. Anyone who believes they aren't please PM Peg with the reason. :)

Zi'da 58th: Information
Four fully Sev'ryn babies are born this trial from one mother! What a fortuitous day! The mother is exhausted but it is obvious that with how proud and happy the father is, all will be okay. The Nai'choma Quadruplets will get their names once the mother is back to full health.

Zi'da 69th: Event: Self Mod
An announcement goes out and brings many of the populace to Moseke's Temple, where the Medicine House and the Order of the Adunih are giving out soup and a hot drink served for all those in need from the cities stores.
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should note that this is a largely social thing, but increases the awareness of the Order of the Adunih.

Zi'da 81st: Event: Self Mod
Children playing in the snow find a necklace that seems to have lost it's owner. They, with the help of their parent's, put up posters for a valuable item being found.
Anyone who wants to make a plot point of this should note that this is no ordinary necklace. Make your own story, or PM Peg for ideas!.

Zi'da 93rd: Moderated Event
Many people worry if they can survive Cylus at this rate. More and more people have been falling ill and have been weakened due to rationing of food. To make things worse, a snow storm starts brewing in the middle of the night, all hunts are called off, and people hide in their homes. Yet, on the night of the 93rd, the dawn of a new Arc, a woman's voice raises in song and all of Desnind hears it. Children sleep, animals calm and adults? Adults know that all will be well.

Vhalar

5th - Missing the Mother - Self Mod. It becomes apparent that Moseke has not been seen in Desnind since the Fall of Emea. Fear grows around where she might be and her absence adds to the general feeling of unrest.

19th - The First Sign - Moderator Input There are attacks on both the Order of the Adunih and the Medicine House. Medical supplies are stolen. It seems very likely that this is a group of panic-driven citizens, but it sends shockwaves throughout Desnind. Elders were harmed during these attacks and this is not the way that things are done here. PM Peg for Plotnotes if you are investigating. All threads must be submitted to the Thread Tracker

34th - The Lori Weeps - Moderator Input An enormous ether-storm erupts over the Lori it tears through many of the trees there, leaving them decimated. When it clears, a number of the trees are seen to "weep" - a soft amber liquid leaking from eyes in faces which appear in the tree bark. PM Peg for Plotnotes if you are investigating. All threads must be submitted to the Thread Tracker

40th - The Unfeathered Exiles Seek Safe Harbor - Player Impact: A lengthy convoy of ships, bearing Avriel who are suffering the ravages of Aloplumia (feather loss), have arrived at Desnind's shores. The Sev'ryn and military of Desnind at first expect trouble, perhaps even invasion, but are surprised when they find the emissaries, wardens, and sufferers themselves among these Avriel conciliatory. Not all of the avriel are suffering from Aloplumia. However, many wear the silken wing valance cloaks in solidarity with their unfeathered kin.

58th - When Dreamers Die - Moderator Input -the Tsabar announces that Riq'al is in a sleep which has lasted now for trials. He is unable to be woken and they worry for his life. Are there any walkers in dreams who will care for him? PM Peg for Plotnotes if you are investigating. All threads must be submitted to the Thread Tracker

70th - End of an Era - Moderator Input - The Order of the Adunih and the Medicine House have been working together, of necessity, all season. Both have been inundated with cases of heat exhaustion, dehydration and many other illnesses. Therefore, a meeting is held between the two where the structure of this will be decided. PM Peg if you are going to take this up - this is an opportunity for PCs to have new roles / jobs / in Desnind. If PCs pick this up it will be a thread Peg starts with modbombs here and there. If not, the result will be announced in the Thread Tracker.

75th - Avriel Agitators - Most and many of the avriel have managed to find acceptance among the people of Desnind. However, there are a few that have taken less kindly to their situation, namely some of the feathered avriel who feel they ought to enslave the Sev'ryn. Several fights break out in the village and in the wilderness. Sev'ryn hunters butt heads with Avriel scavengers and hunters, and it seems conflict is inevitable.

83rd - Preparations - Moderator Input Following the expedition into the Lori last cycle where a group of adventurers found and tracked how far the spread of the Bad Lands had gone, there have been continued observation and whatever was causing that spread seems to have stopped. However, over the course of the season, the Lori has changed - from weeping trees to sightings of spirits and ghosts. A group are put together to plan how to best catalogue and explore these phenomena. Peg will do an opening post with a number of "situations" which are occurring. PCs decide which they are going to explore and this leads into the seasonal event for this Cycle. There will be no time limit between posts, but the thread will have a shelf life date.

90th - It is decided by the Elders of Desnind that the Avriel should be granted the right to purchase land near the badlands, where they might find their own hunting grounds and perhaps form a permanent enclave. In light of the recent agitation by several avriel, it is decided that none will be allowed to settle within the city and village itself.

Zi'Da

1st - Twisted Sister - Self Moderation Whispers in the underground tell of a growth in those worshipping Lisirra - people start to notice signs that maybe, this is true. Are you imagining the shadowy figures and decaying plants or, is there more going on?

5th - Disease on our doorstep - Moderator Input A hooded figure enters Desnind. She draws some attention as she stumbles around, heading to the Fire Pit. Once there, she collapses and a cry goes out. When one of the hunters at the pit helped her, he drew back her cloak and saw that she was covered in some kind of plague. This is an immediate and definite crisis and the outcome will be of vital importance to Desnind next Cycle. Peg will do an opening post and will modbomb throughout. Although there is no posting speed, the thread will have a "shelf life" when it begins and ends and the outcome will be determined by what has been done up to that point. Peg will update tracker.

15th - 20th - Infection - Moderator Input The heat and lack of rain means that conditions are very difficult in Desnind. During this period things seem to come to a head and there are a number of incidents of violence, aggression, people fighting for no apparent reason etc. Furthermore, food is scarce, as are healing supplies and there are thefts and claims of hoarding. Players may make as many threads about this as they wish, they may be self moderated. Any thread which picks up this plot point should be submitted to the Hot Cycle 719 Tracker

22nd - 38th - The Seeds of Hope - Self Mod The strange weather has led to a number of changes in the flora around Desnind. Players may make as many threads about this as they wish, they may be self moderated. Please submit flora development to the development thread for new flora types. Any thread which picks up this plot point should be submitted to the Hot Cycle 719 Tracker

30th - Ghost of a Chance - Moderator Input On the night of the 30th Zi'Da, although there is no darkness due to the second sun, ghosts are visible throughout Desnind. Will anyone speak to them? What can be found out? PM Peg for plotnotes, but let me know how you're going to approach it, since there's a number of possible things to discover. Any thread which picks up this plot point should be submitted to the Hot Cycle 719 Tracker

39th - The Far Traveller - Seasonal Event A familiar face returns to Desnind. Moderated by Peg

60th of Zi'da Talon in Claw - Peacemakers among the avriel refugees and the Sev'ryn populace have begun to congregate, in hopes they might bridge the gaps between their peoples. There may be an opportunity to form a lasting peace between the exiles and the residents of Desnind, but they will have to combat the suspicions of the Avriel, and the caution of the Sev'ryn.

Desnind Hot Cycle 720 Calendar: Ymiden Weather

1st: the double sun hits the city of Desnind hard as the hot cycle starts. The heat is not as rough as past arcs have been, but anyone outside is very uncomfortable after one break

15th-20th: The first wave of bugs that often plague Desnind hits for five long trials. The city is swarmed with bugs during the daylight breaks.

30th: Storms hit the city helping to beat the heat. However the clouds are nearly black in the sky over the sea off the cliffs. An ominous sight for any who knows of the water spouts damage.

50th- 65th: A dry spell has hit Desnind causing the woods to be tinder. Wildfires are likely to happen during this time.

80th: A strange wind storm blows in towards the end of Ymiden. Lasting well into the night causing so much noise that it is hard to sleep.

Event Calendar: Ymiden

1st: The start of Ymiden has arrived with a bang. The heat has returned with a fury showing the cold cycle has not dampened anything.

7th: After the citizens of Desnind have calmed their fears, the elders ask for people to help find the cultists from the Rebirth cycle. They fled into the forests and could have went to a number of places. (Modded will have sign ups allow four to five trials on your personal calendar)

12th: Those who left to find the cultists come back with all kinds of stories to tell those who wish to listen.

21st: Due to the bugs everywhere the hunters are doubling down to get back on track with hunting for the city. The local foragers are asking for any help in going to look for herbs and fruits that can be stored.

30th: The elders urge everyone to keep anything precious to them indoors before the storm hits. When the storm hits the city is battered by hard rain and wind that causes loose branches to fall to the ground. Some large enough to kill a grown person if hit.

35th: Damage from the storm can still be felt as the businesses on the ground took a great deal of damage. The business owners ask for any help that can be given. Some need building supplies, hides, flowers, and help to repair the building itself when supplies make it. (Unmodded)

50th – 65th: the elders warn against starting fires during this time because of how tinder dry the Forrest has become

69th: The Festival of Love: this holiday is a way of celebrating love, while the Tunawa remember this day as the birth of their people. Many sever will given tokens and bond with the dabiuaya. The Tunawa honors Alaiwa heavily on this day for it is her birthday. Love and birth represent the general theme of the celebration. As always, food and celebration fires are present. Flowers are highly valued at this celebration. Children born during this celebration are believed to have the blessing of both Immortals and have the ability of giving endless love. Sevir believe that they are the happiest of their race.

83rd: The end of Ymiden has arrived, the city prepares for the harsher heat of Saun

Desnind Hot Cycle- Saun Weather:

20th: A thunderstorm hits the city. The weather intensifies causing a water spout to form out at sea.

29th: With the heavy rain, the bugs had been held back. That did not last long, there are swarms for the entire trial.

39th: The last hear wave has reached the city making it incredibly uncomfortable to try and do anything for Cycle change

Saun Calendar:

1st: Saun has began with plenty of heat to go around as the two suns are high in the sky. The city is still on edge from the previous cycle with the chaos from the mystery of the iyo, and the hunt of the cult members in Ymiden.

8th: The iyo have still not returned to their normal color patterns. Instead now a mix of sky blue and the deep red color. Rumors float around the city of Moseke having left Desnind. (Unmodded)

12th: Strange lights have began to appear in the middle of the night. A beautiful mystical song can be heard when the lights dance. They appear every night for fourteen trials. (Unmodded)

27th: The lights have stopped yet the song continues. The tone turns darker and menacing as the animals become restless in their pens or homes.

33rd: With the cycle ending soon the elders urge the citizens to make a push for food to help replenish the reserves before the Cold Cycle begins.

35th: Hunters come back with news of the animals staying close to the Forbidden Temple. This does not sit well with the hunters.

40th: The Hot Cycle is coming to an end. The city prepares for the coming Cold Cycle.

Desnind Cold Cycle Calendar 720

Desnind Cold Cycle 720 Calendar: Vhalar Weather

1st: Vhalar begins with a gentle warmth and the quiet laziness that is the last trials of summer. Crops do well, and rain is uncommon.

20th-25th: A rainstorm comes through and causes some havoc due to flooding. However, some of the crops end up doing even better because of it.

35th: The main harvests are all completed, with still a few to go but for most, the food stores are settled. The weather is mild and temperate, easy to get around in.

65th: Another rain comes through, leading into the rainy season of Vhalar for the rest of the season as drizzles and heavier rains are common.

70th: The last harvests for most crops are complete, and good thing too because there is a severe earthquake that hits Desnind and causes some trouble.

80th: A random heatwave comes through, confusing most who were preparing for the frost, but it leaves within a few trials.

90th: Winds blow through Desnind, and with it, the mornings bring frost that stop any further crops. For the rest of Vhalar, chilly mornings, windy afternoons, and rainy evenings are common.

Event Calendar: Vhalar

5th: The Iyo seem to get very lazy on this trial, and are found nesting together in spots under ferns and in shaded branches. Some think the Iyo have gotten sick, but by the next trial, the Iyo are back albeit with their changed colors.

15th: A form of root rot is found among a patch of trees, infecting the berry bushes that are underneath them, and some insist that the trees must be dug up to keep it from spreading further. Others insist there must be another way and seek a cure.

20th: Rumors of a potential food shortage travel through Desnind, and worries a great number of people. Some assure that this isn’t anything to worry about, though, and that Desnind will be fine in the seasons to come.

30th: The last of the harvests are underway and the elders request as much help as they can get from any planning to remain within Desnind for the rest of the Cold Cycle. Those who help with the harvests can take a bounty of edibles or herbs as payment for the assistance.

45th: The last of the hunts happen now, with similar in that assistance is requested and those who help with the hunts are rewarded with meats and furs from the caught animals.

65th: Unless assisted in great measure by PCs, Desnind finds their food storage to be just barely what is needed for their current population. The farmers cite the fires of 718 as still impacting their crops, while the hunters whisper about a curse upon the land, and again, it comes up about where Moseke has gone.

85th: A small group of humans from Desnind’s southern neighbor of Quacia arrives and claim to be refugees who are worshippers of Moseke. They set up to devote themselves to Moseke, though struggle to fit in with the people of Desnind as language barriers keep them from communicating as only one of the Quacians knows common.

99th: Tialadani – “The Harvest” is a celebration of the harvest and Desnind tries to combat the doubt and uncertainty by celebrating it like usual. Traditional fires on the ground, musicians and dancers celebrate and there is roasting of animals and a lot of produce used. Some citizens complain it’s an improper use of resources, while others are happy to return to the familiarity of tradition. No nel is spent on food and it is all free, while vendor wares are for sale.

120th: Some of the humans from the Quacia refugees fall non-fatally sick, but it results in the group believing that someone in Desnind must have poisoned them! Unless convinced otherwise, the group leaves Desnind with the belief that the Tunawa must not want them there and they also openly plan to tell others outside of Desnind that Moseke seems to have gone missing. Rumors about Lisirra having returned to the area start to drift, but are quickly stopped by the elders.

Desnind Cold Cycle- Zi'da Weather:

1st: The trials continue to get colder, and the first of the snows for the season fall on Zi’da 1st. It lasts for a few trials of snow flurries.

10th: By the 10th of Zi’da, enough snow has fallen to stick to the ground. Desnind is covered in frost and ice.

15th: By the 15th, the pier and waters near Desnind are iced over for the rest of the season and assumedly, into Cylus.

30th: Things warm up in the afternoons, but not enough to melt the snows, but people prepare for potential flooding anyway. The nights are clear with beautiful views of the starry sky but very cold.

60th: A blizzard comes through Desnind, and those caught outside find themselves in a dangerous position because of it.

80th: Everything settles, and the snow slows into simple flurries now and then. The cold evens out for the last trials of Zi’da.

Zi’da Event Calendar:
1st: Visions of ghostly children playing and fish flying around the Tosibeere River becomes a common rumor shared between foragers and hunters. No one knows what it could be, but many share the legend of the Tosibeere River and the Little Water Child to any who will listen. Those who go to investigate these rumors, while they witness the visions, end up coming down with Ibẹẹrẹ Ikarahun or Water Lung. The healers of Desnind must spend a good portion of their time on treating this fatal disease.

18th: A major performance is put together, with trials of festivities to celebrate what is heralded as a brilliant play and musical. It is performed by mostly Tunawa and Sev’ryn actors and musicians and lasts for five breaks with three intermissions. It is a comedy-tragedy, and ultimately portrays the story of Desnind and exalts Moseke.

23rd: There is an open invitation for anyone who wants to participate in a massive group meditation. At the Temple of Moseke, the group settles in a circle with seated positions, and sit there quietly for as long as they can. The meditation is led by an elder Tunawa and an elder Sev’ryn, both who remain quiet and silent and seated for five trials before the meditation is concluded with a very slow dance and then a shared hot meal.

40th: Some ambitious younger Tunawa set up unofficial races to happen in the Makubwa Lori. A gambling ring pops up around it, and the evenings in the Lori soon get to be known for the rough-and-tumble gang. For Desnind, this is quite the criminal element – even if it is just good fun! Eventually, some of them get arrested for disorderly conduct though.

59th: Desnind requires assistance in making sure the whole city will keep warm in the cold to come. A call from the elder goes out to ask for any innovations in regard to heating that could help the entire city ward off the chill.

72nd: A small group of Mer arrive suddenly, in need of shelter and help. They claim to come from a nearby coastal region not too far from Desnind, but that this arc, their village was hunted by a sea monster and they fled. They want to go back and help their village, but it is dangerous due to the ice and cold, and they are told by most to wait until after Cylus.

83rd: An alchemist’s laboratory blows up. The cause is unknown, other than it must have occurred from backlash as the Sev’ryn alchemist is found dead among the ruins with marks of magic on him. No fire sets though, but it gets people in Desnind talking about regulations to do with alchemy within the city.

91st: At Moseke’s Temple, a vision appears and remains for the last three trials of Zi’da. At first, people believe it to be Moseke but then it is discovered to be some sort of statue of her instead. Over the trials, people make their way to leave dried flowers and offerings. When leaving certain offerings that match Moseke’s interest, a person is telepathically spoken to by the statue and offered to ask ONE question. The statue answers the one question privately through the telepathic link – though whether the answer is truthful or not is questionable.
