Snake Whip
Image
Name: Snake Whip
Overview: A common bramble found throughout Desnind with a strange substance nestled deep within it.
Appearance: Named for their appearance, the Snake Whip bramble is a low-growing bramble which seems to exist in a state of utter chaos. It has no berries and it's long vines are entwined in impossible knots on the forest floor. However, every now and then a slight movement will mean that a single vine will "whip" out and strike. When it makes contact, the thorns leave a mark which resemble the bite of a snake, twin puncture wounds, close together.
Location: Desnind
Hazard / Toxicity: Very few. The Zip Stick must be gathered in a specific way or it has much less impact. If one cuts oneself on the thorns then nausea and a brief adrenaline rush occur. Obviously, the thorns themselves are hazardous, also.
Uses: The thorns of this bramble can be harvested for Zip Stick, an adrenaline-like substance. However, it is not only the unusual that this bramble is used for. In Desnind, all plants are sacred to Moseke and throughout the city and its surrounds small and intricate statues made from Snake Whip bramble are common sights. It's used as kindling for the Fire Pit and the vines themselves are stripped of thorns and added to roof thatching and fences.

The chieja ọludïbọ
Image
Developed by Ti'niva
Found: This tree is found only within the Makubwa Lori and rarely at that. There are no exact locations of this type of tree currently known. If one is found then the finder is very lucky and some may even keep the locations secret.
Toxicity/Hazard: None
Appearance: The older trees are incredibly fat with much of the branches spreading out wide from the trees. They take up a lot of space in the forest and often are shorter than other types of trees within the forest. The leaves are a dark green and elliptic in shaped.
Properties: The wood is extremely rare and a beautiful ebony colour. The wood is treasured by many and is extremely expensive.
Other Information: These trees would most likely be protected by the Sev'ryn if there locations were known.

Mulier Colletis
ImageImage
Developed by Ailluin-Yelven

Found: Anywhere you might find plants really. Forests, sometimes grasslands or open areas by a river or lake.
Toxicity/Hazard: Not directly toxic by touch, but they have a rather high acidity in the bulbous pouch beneath the bodies that can be incredibly harmful to the body and will dissolve through skin in mere minutes.
Appearance: Mulier Colletis are giant flowered plant monsters that have a female humanoid form growing out from between the petals. The form varies and can look sweet and endearing to lure in unwary travelers, or vicious if needed. Despite having a seemingly humanoid form, it is entirely a plant and even if you cut the human form, it would not bleed blood. It is not a sentient creature, despite having a humanoid form it is all plant, and the reactions the human form has is just DNA programmed in order to lure in prey, like a plant that traps a bee or wasp to put pollen on it, or a pitcher plant that lures creatures in with its smell.
Properties: The acid could be bottled and mixed into a drink and if ingested, would start to dissolve the person’s insides. Note that this is an extremely painful process that the minute it touches their tongue would start to cause great pain, as such it is not a useful tactic for assassins unless trying to get information. Also note that it is incredibly difficult to kill the plant to attain the acid, as when not luring in prey, it hides within a bulb that is pretty resilient to most attacks and well, you’re not going to be in good shape if you just run up and whack it with a sword, let’s just leave it at that.
Other Information: A meat-eating plant, they lure in unsuspecting animals or travelers by seeming to be a girl in trouble being devoured by a plant. If you get too close or grab 'her' to help 'her' out, however, you will soon find yourself fighting for your life as 'she' wraps vines around you and tries to (and often succeeds at) pull you into the plant. Beneath 'her' body is basically a pitcher of acid used to digest whatever 'she' manages to pull in, and if you manage to take out one of these plants, you’ll often find a fair amount of useful things like horns and other hardened things not easily digested by the acid, as it was made mostly to digest flesh and muscle and sometimes bone (if they are hollow.)

Sunshrooma
Image

Overview: The sunshrooma is a dangerous mushroom on the southern continent.

Description: The sunshroom is a mushroom that will sprout and grow during a heavy fog. The longer lasting the fog is, the larger the sunshrooma will grow. In particularly foggy times, they've grown as large as a house, seemingly unfazed by soil conditions and topography. While in the fog, they are a soft orange. However, the moment the fog begins to break, and the first rays of sunlight hit the sunshrooma, it becomes bright orange. It begins to produce orange vapors that linger heavily around the plant, similar to fog, allowing it to continue growing. These vapors do not seem to be dispersed by the sun like fog, though are affected normally by winds. These vapors are a special type of oxidizer. When they touch other organic material, they begin to cause it to decay and break down fairly rapidly, providing more food for the growing sunshrooma.

Appearance: Large, soft orange kettle shaped mushroom heads. Starts out minuscule in fog but grow rapidly and seemingly without bounds. Turns bright orange when matured by the sun.

Location: Anywhere in the forests of the southern continent that fog is present.

Hazard / Toxicity: Highly corrosive to organic beings. Causes burning and necrosis in skin, eyes, lungs if breathed in, etc. Would eventually cause death by this means.

Uses: Poison makers, medicine makers, and alchemists could probably use it.
