Innovation Challenge!

I am delighted to announce a competition for all of the Eternal Empire.

Building has started on what I believe will be Idalos' largest hospital. We will have, in fact, five large-size hospital buildings - each one will serve a different function.

• A hospital for those who have diseases and illnesses currently considered incurable.
• A children's hospital for children with the most serious diseases.
• A hospital for those with long term, chronic, life-changing illnesses
• A hospital for those who have been injured in battles, wars, or by magic.
• A research hospital

I am, therefore, seeking ideas from innovators all over! I'd like you to put forward a proposal of an innovation / idea which you believe would help / assist this hospital to function. It doesn't have to be medical (it could be a good way of transporting supplies, for example) but it can be!

I will choose 3 of these entries and will fund them. The winners will be offered the chance to work with or in the hospital, to get paid for their idea and to build it / see it come to fruition. I also plan to offer scholarships and mentoring to those who wish it.

Therefore, please submit your entries below. I have not suggested a format as I have no wish to constrain you - but detail would be good - especially make sure that it's enough detail so that I know what I'm looking at!

Dear Professor Augustin,

Allow me to introduce myself! I'm Lorogh Lerake, making things go and move is what I do! I'm an Engineer by vocation. I'm also a Stalwart in her Immortal Majesty's army! In researching what it would take to devise a pressurized nozzle for the expulsion of fluids, for various highly classified projects I'm undertaking on behalf of the Imperial Army. In so researching these subjects, I've discovered an interesting principle, related to water pumps.

Now, you know of force-operated water pumps? With a lever, air is displaced in order to lift a steady supply of water. Thus the air displaced causes fluids to rise, and move and go. I'm convinced, that if I could produce enough pressure, I could make gas move solids in this way, creating a safe and fast method of transporting parcels from one hospital to another, in a matter of moments! There'd be no need for weighty gurneys and pallets being transported by teamsters, when you can simply put in a cannister in what I call the pneumatic extraction system for transport. Or PEST for short.

I've included some preliminary blueprints, for how this (at the moment) theoretical system would work, if it'd work. I only need the funding and resources in order to find a way of pressurizing air enough that it can transport such large volumes of solid objects, without the use of fluids. Only using vacuums and air. Thank you for your consideration.
