The Beldistorio
The main entrance into Augiery comes from Sarraski, the coastal entrance town. The stone path winds between stalagmites and stalactites through the cavern. The acoustics are foreboding, the sound of droplets splattering against smooth stone bouncing back and forth. Like a great mouth, the cavern stretches on. It sucks the traveler in, drawing them ever closer to their final destination. With each step from Sarraski, the light fades and the darkness grows stronger. The feeling that someone, or something, is watching from the shadows grows. Then again, maybe the shadows are watching.
The "Dread Gate". The Beldistorio. This stone archway was carved from a single slab of stone and crosses the pathway. It rises almost 200 feet from the ground. It's width is similar, approximately 180 feet. The path is covered for 150 feet by this decorated stone archway. The stone itself has a variety of scenes marking its creation, Augiery's history, and the plans for global conquest. Torchlight only lights each side of the tunnel to give the guards the ability to assess travelers. Several baskets of chains and collars line the walls on the Sarraski side. Women seem to walk by these armed Naer without issue. A traveling pair - one woman and one man - are stopped. A collar is placed around the man's neck and the chain handed to the woman.
"Turn back if you value your freedom Txerri, for you do not belong here. Men are not free in Augiery. Will you be forced into a collar? We will happily chain you and put your in your place," a Naer guard sneered at a man that rejected the collar. Augiery is not a city for tourists.
For those that accept or are forced into the collar, the path beyond the Beldistorio is short. There is a bridge that crosses the Oceanic River. Soon, Augiery rises from the cavern floor. Fire flickers against the smooth walls of the city in the distance. It appears to be sanctuary from the shadows; at least, for a short time.

OOC Information
Welcome to Augiery, Audrae's city. There are few rules when it comes to entering the city. If you play a male PC, you are obligated to become a slave. Your freedom ends at the gates. If you are unwilling to accept this, we ask that you remain in Sarraski, the coastal city where men may walk freely. For those that accept the collar, you may have a female PC claim your chain. Freedom is limited to the household and what your Mistress permits you to do within the household. Unaccompanied Txerriak on the streets are at risk of being thrown into the slave pits. A fee can be paid to retrieve them by their mistress, or they may be abandoned for disobedience. Those that are not claimed work for the city. Female PCs are welcome to walk freely through the Beldistorio.
As a city built on slavery, we have tried to build a culture around them. There are a variety of events that cater to slave characters and their mistresses. As there are several rebel spirits in any city, we ask those that are interested in breaking the rules of the collar to coordinate their plots with the local Prophets. We will not tell you no if you wish to pursue a coup; however, we will have a bit of fun punishing those that rise against Audrae and her Wicked Council. Are you woman enough to try?
