Appearance: A Mosquito, But Slightly Larger (henceforth known as AM,BSL) shares an exact likeness to the common mosquito, including such features as long, spindly legs, antennae, large, perceptive eyes, a large thorax, wings, the inherent property of irritating anyone within a 10 km radius, and a pouch to keep the blood it steals from your body where it rightfully belongs.
There is, however, one difference between a mosquito and AM,BSL.
AM,BSL has slightly larger dimensions.
Habitat: AM,BSL are born and reproduce in really gross nasty dankass areas such as, but not limited to, bonds, puddles, damp trees, and other places with warm, stagnant water. They are not, however, limited to moist areas, and can spread quickly.
Much like the plague.
Lifespan and Development: The most traditional way AM,BSL can be born if from an egg, laid by the mother in a warm, moist region of the forest, exactly like your typical mosquito. However, there is a second way.
When an enemy of those who are righteous and good commits the sin of adulturous coidus with a virgin woman, the resulting pregnancy fertilizes in the woman for six months, six days, and six hours before the lump of putrid meat is born backwards with a devil tail and disintegrates into a dense flock of AM,BSL that infect the area they were born in and spread impurity wherever they may go. It is also very painful for that poor woman.
Diet: Just like an everyday mosquito, AM,BSL sucks the blood of the innocent and gains its nutrients from others’ pain.
Temperament: AM,BSLs are all really really really mean and super annoying like really super annoying I can’t even deal bro. They also have malaria and that makes them pissy cause that means they’re more diseased than they already thought they were and having that talk with your mosquito parents is never fun.
Abilities: AM,BSL has the ability of extended flight due to its large wingspan to body ratio, and as such spends much of its time in flight. As well as this, it also has highly evolved sight that allows it to easily identify potential food sources and navigate accordingly. Unusually versatile compared to the rest of the insect world, AM,BSL is truly a wonder of natural birth.
They can also shoot concentrated beams of superheated light through their eyes.
