Maintaining Baronies and Duchies
Once a player has put forth enough time, or has acquired land by some means, they are eligible to obtain a barony. Baronies are pieces of land acquired by your character for the purpose of building and maintaining economic or military influence for the Duchy. Since it takes an enormous amount of time to actually establish boundaries, build forts, and garner people to live upon your lands, we will assume that most of that is already done for you by the time you acquire a barony.
Running a barony is not an easy task and does require your character to fill one of their job slots with the professions Baron/Baroness or Duke/Duchess. While Baron/Baroness is not listed on the overall professions page in the Lore Book, it functions exactly like the Stewart profession with a 50 gold nel wage cap. Once your Barony is approved by a moderator of Rynmere, you may apply for the job positions listed above.
Each season, your character will be expected to perform job threads relating to maintaining their barony. Should you fail to submit a job thread for your barony, you will be deducted 5 points of Fame from your overall count. This means that it is imperative that you retire your character if you know you won’t be working on them for a season or several seasons.
Job threads should pertain to running your barony in some capacity, whether that is hosting charity events, requisitioning labor or resources to fund public works, etc. If you’re not certain what may constitute as running your barony, please message a Rynmere moderator and we’ll help set you straight.

Please submit a short blurb of information about your barony here. Information that you should think to include would be how big the barony is, if you have certain groups, factions, or shops housed here, what is attractive or appealing about your barony, what is a drawback of it. You should also include how populated it might seem. Is the barony a small town but clustered with people due to the perfume it generates? Or is it a quiet city that mainly focuses on script work and education? Be creative because this will be the place your character lives in and looks after.
