23rd Trial of Suan, of the 717th Arc

Bone had done such a wonderful job, flying from the outskirts of Megani to here, the port in Desnind. The flight was arduous on both of them. Winds had been more unpredictable, the closer they got to see, Bone managed to save them a few times, but Junipers legs and arms were sore and felt like they would give out any moment now that they were on solid.. roof.

Juniper actually kind of felt sick after all those unintentional barrel rolls. So at the moment, she and Bone were resting. Juniper was sitting with Bone on the roof her head leaning into Bones body comfortably. She looked out over the scenery of the city and sighed. "If I were more patient Bone, we'd adventure around here first, but we've seen the area around here over and over from the sky." She patted Bone's feathers which elicited a chit from the bird companion. Juniper smiled. "We'll have even grander adventures from here on out! Just us two." Speaking softly in common. "Yet, I will admit," she gave the bird a wry smile from under the birds feathers. "I do think I'll miss this place, if not the place the people in it. You know... Mom and Dad... some of the other buds." She sighed and looked out over the ocean. "But the great water's are calling us. We have to journey out and find what's out there for us to explore! And there's even more for us to learn about, because we're so much smaller than the other species out there yeah?!"

Slowly, Juniper got up with an effort filled and shaky grunt. Wobbling a bit she chuckled. "Alright girl," She brushed some of Bone's feathers back into place. "Shall we head to the harbor and see if we can get passage to new lands for free?" Another chit from Bone as Juniper leaped into the saddle, made sure she had a good grip, and then clicked her tongue twice. Something she'd been practicing with Bone. It took Bone a second but she spread her wings and started flapping for lift off. Petting the back of Bone's neck happily. She did a sweeping whistle, and Bone started flying forward. Good, she is learning the commands, I'll have to let her go off to catch some fish before we go as a reward. Juniper smiled to herself and only gently steered when she felt they were getting too off course.

23rd Trial of Suan, of the 717th Arc

Juniper and Bone finally made it to the docks as the sun was setting over the ocean. It was probably one of the most beautiful sites that Juniper had seen from Bone's back. Juniper had Bone land on one of the wooden posts of the docks. It wasn't easy getting her to do so though because a lot of Sev'ryn, human's and other beings were walking around everywhere. The area around the docks were actually quite busy. Not that it surprised her.
She'd actually expected this. It was a lot to take in at once though.

Merchant's were yelling, trying to get the attention of those walking by, off and onto ships that were being loaded and unloaded. The whole dock was shaking, and people only seemed curious of Bone for a few moment's, most people keeping a good distance from her. Juniper smiled and waved from Bone's back, though it didn't seem like anyone really noticed her existence. She frowned a bit at this, though it would be to her advantage if things kept going like this. Her size was definitely to her advantage.

She looked around, trying to see past all the bodies moving around. Also trying to ignore just how shakey the world was beneath Bone's feet. The giant beings that were humans, just... were loud all around. Stomping away on the ground like it was theirs only to tread. She sighed, wondering how she could even hear herself think. Closing her honeygold eyes she tried to focus for a moment.

I need to find a boat that's traveling to one of the other continents. How do I do this? First I need to assess each boat yes? I need to figure out if they are just coming into port or if they are leaving. But what else do I need to do? Juniper sighed as her thoughts were interrupted by a screaming child. Maybe she should have thought this through before flying off of that roof from a while back. Oh well, she wasn't going to make Bone do anymore than she had to. Maybe she'd have to take few more Trials to figure out where they were going to go, and how they were going to get there. And maybe they should just pay for passage somewhere? She did have the coin.

Wouldn't it be better though if she could save as much coin as possible? it's not like she and Bone ate a lot, or needed any real accomodation. So why waste the coin if she could help it? Would she be able to sneak Bone on a boat, let alone herself though? That was important. Because she wasn't going to go on this journey without her. Bone was her only friend throughout all these years, and she wasn't going to lose her just because of this journey. But she wasn't about to endanger Bone by trying to fly out over the sea either.

The longer she sat here and pondered all this though the harder it became to focus. What was she going to do? How was she supposed to go adventuring now?
