At first it seemed like she would just go straight in for the kill but with their numbers she hesitated, refrained from the innate nature that resided within her being. So she wasn't a wild hunter like Enrick had thought but rather a prudent one, knowing to think before committing acts without considering the consequences. That was considerably good compared to most who would just rather go for the kill, failing to weigh in the risk of the rest coming to the aid of their kin once blood had been drawn.
Yet they greeted her as well as him rather playfully as they swam up to the two, curious of the new creatures found swimming in vicinity of their waters. Enrick's eyes turned orange briefly when a couple approached him but that didn't last, as their playful nature quickly rubbed off on him when they nudged him as well. Violet hues were prominent as green flecks filled their coloration, and he wound up prodding one of the creatures on the nose as a result. It playfully mewled and swam around him in a dance similar to the one that resembled their courtship, only this one seemed more vigorous and interesting than before. It brought a smile from him as he felt the other nudge his lower back, a look past his right side revealed the other wanted attention also.
He twisted around and felt his lungs in need of a new batch of air, thus poked the creature in the same spot as the first before he kicked for the surface. Enrick could hear the playful sounds the two made as they followed him upward, and sure enough he broke surface with the rest of his air puffed out loudly. He had to exhale a little harder when he briefly inhaled, to clear off the excess water that drizzled over his lips. The two irrawaddie surfaced and drew closer to him, one already pressed into his hairy chest with it's muzzle ready to play. "Al'roi al'roi, on wit' ya." He mused as he twisted to look over his shoulder, only to find that Qit wasn't anywhere to be seen. Another nudge. Damn these things were playful!
Enrick laughed and looked down at the creature before him, his smile widened to reveal teeth as he spoke to the irrawaddie. "Playful lil' shyte aren't ya." He mused before he gulped in another deep breath, Enrick then dunked below the surface once more to swim with the sea creatures. Qit seemed to be enjoying the ride on her irrawaddie, even when it seemed to take her further deeper into the ocean below. A dangerous stunt on her part but Enrick trusted her, besides these creatures seemed avidly intelligent in regards to knowing humans needed air. The two that investigated Enrick brushed underneath him until his arms were over each one, and before he knew it they dragged him off further away from the sloop than he intended them to. They drew him further out towards their pod where others would notice him, and in short come to investigate his presence within the sea.
It was a very curious and very surreal to witness actually, an entire school of irrawaddie all curious of his own presence. Somehow he felt a connection develop with them, a sort of bond that while unusual felt akin to the one he sought elsewhere. He connected with these creatures on a more personal level, thus the hues of his eyes were a deep green color that almost looked aquamarine thanks to the water. He needed to surface once again and when he started to propel himself upward, one of the larger irrawaddie followed beneath him until it's muzzle pressed against his feet. He felt his rise to the surface increase far too quickly, and when his face broke the surface of the water he only found time to exhale with a brief inhale. In short the irrawaddie beneath him continued to push him up so that his upper body bobbed out the water, and his balance shifted to throw him back into the sea with legs overhead this time around.
Could irrawaddie laugh? Those lil' fekers were certainly enjoying themselves. Earnest for more air he resurfaced with a gasp, the confines of his nose suddenly burned from the rush of water. "Ye lil' shytes!" He cursed to them with a splash of water, Enrick then finally looked to see how far he was from the boat. Too far for comfort. Qit looked like she was about to strike too, which meant he needed to be ready to swim back. Like now. "Well shyte." He muttered as he looked back down at the creatures beneath him, hopefully they wouldn't see him as the threat when he swam back over...
He inhaled once more and this time dipped below the water with a hard series of kicks to splash at the surface, the other irrawaddie no longer interested in him save for the one that flipped him over earlier. He felt it it prod at his belly which tickled him of course, nearly made him choke on water as he stopped paddling and decided to grapple on the creature's fins. Sure enough the irrawaddie transported him towards the sloop, and to Qit who would likely be making her kill strike any moment now.
