The Word of the Faith

Ne'haer
The Faith | News
Located as one of the centerpieces Ne'haer's grand architecture are the four temples and the grand temple located amidst them, The Temple of All Gods serves as not only a place of sanctuary and worship, but as the holy ground for those who are truly renowned as "The Faithful" of Ne'haer. Unlike the Council which makes decisions based on the needs of Ne'haer and her people, the Faithful are considered servants of both the people and the Immortals the city worships so dearly.

Deep within the Temple of All Gods where the heart of The Faith beats the strongest, words from the Priesthood are passed down from the higher ranks to the common people of Ne'haer. No matter how late in the Trial it is word always reaches every last citizen, as The Faith make it their sole responsibility to reach out to the people they serve fervently. Just like the Council of Minäih are watchful of the city, The Faith of Ne'haer are always just as wary; and they will dearly protect the order of The Faith as they have done since Ne'haer's birth.
This as well as the other thread The Six Seats are now going to officially serve as IC events. Every time your PC is involved with something influential, whether you post it in the Impact thread or not, there is a chance that either the Faithful of Ne'haer will remark upon... or the Council of Minäih will flag as noteworthy to watch. Please refrain from posting anything in this thread as this is purely for IC developments, and also please remember that what you read here is considered OOC knowledge until your character witnesses events such as these IC.

The Word of the Faith

Ne'haer
The Faith | Slanderers of Faith
Ashan 40th 718, Mid-Trial

The streets of the city still felt the damp moisture cling to their stone as the humidity blanketed warmth across Ne'haer, as small but quite significant amount of citizens have gathered at the southern entrance of The Temple of All Gods, where the grounds had produced vibrantly green grass while the sun beamed upon all within the streets. At the heart of this group of troubled individuals stood one of many priests of the temple, a man who stood about average height with splotchy complexion along his jaws and cheeks. The Priest was of no particular status other than one of The Faithful's spokesperson on this Trial, and what he had to say towards his beloved citizens would surely clarify a prevalent issue.

The pamphlets.

They were merely a minuscule thing in regards to the Faithful but when they began to circulate, sure enough the problems of questions rose like any incite-full flames of doubt. Not very many came to believe what this parchment of lies expressed, but there were some who expressed concern for the tales it spun. The fact that one of the Immortals targeted was in fact Rharne's own benefactor, truly amused those among the Faithful as they began to deem this a problem. And thus with reason to act against the doubts this created, The Faithful finally determined it best to give a response to Ne'haer as a whole.

"People of our great and beloved city!!" The priest called out in earnest so that many would hear him clearly. "It has come to the attention of the Faith that slanderers walk among our streets! That they dare spread lies and falsehoods about the Immortals we treasure dearly so! Worry not what these cheap attempts at mockery play at, for the Faithful do not adhere to the witty ramifications of what we call Heretics! These are claims that only intend to bring doubt and uncertainty to our great Deities, and by giving them reason for concern we are feeding them power in their effort!"

The citizen's gathered around murmured to one another in uncertain awe, undoubtedly put off by the fact someone would dare demean one of the Immortals. "Retribution for their actions will come in time to be sure, as The Faithful are scouring to eliminate the source of this propaganda already! That is all this is is however is just propaganda, and while many would consider this an attack upon The Faith of Ne'aher; we will not treat it as a so until further acts of heresy have been committed. Please be advised my dear citizens that; should you come across anymore of these atrocities," the priest flashed the pamphlet he held to the group before him, the parchment taken in both hands as he tore it apart several times, "you only need to tear it apart and preserve the true word of our city."

A majority of the people nodded in agreement while some seemed to heavily consider the action, however it would seem that by the end of this trial all would hear of this announcement. The pamphlet's demeaning not just Ilaren but questioning the placement of Ne'haer's faith were to be destroyed, meanwhile the Faithful clearly remained silently vigilant of the heretics looming within their city. It would only be a matter of time...

Before someone was brought to justice for their crimes against the Faith.
