40th Ymiden, Arc 717
The medicine house was busy, people moved around with great purpose as they treated wounds and illness of their patients. Apparently it was a bad day to be unwell, there were not enough doctors to help everyone and so waiting was forced. People were judged upon arrival as to who needed the most immediate attention, then asked to wait at opposite sides of the door. When Enrick arrived it was clear where he would be sent, both eyes bandaged and blocking his vision. Still he would be able to hear the voices speaking the language of the Sev'ryn, his hearing better having been without vision for twenty trials he would be able to hear a lot.
His ears would pick up the sound of every footstep of those around him the many intermingled conversations and even the mortar and pestle being worked a few feet ahead of him. The man was beginning to see what it must be like to be blind, and the truth was it was quite overwhelming in such a busy place. It would be quite uncomfortable fro someone freshly without vision.
Enrick's injury was one that could not really be ignored, not if they wished to truly help the man. So as he entered he was greeted by a woman, her voice was soft and comforting, with an air of power to it. Still there was something beautiful about the way it sounded, something full of life. "Come now, your eyes must be treated." The hold of her hand on his was firm and assertive as she guided him to an old wooden stool. It was really a piece of fallen log but it was functional as a seat.
Here she came close to him and began to slowly unwrap the bandages from his head. At first the light would be strong and uncomfortable for Enrick but it would subside. It was a nasty wound that was revealed, a gash across both his eyes, but it could be dealt with. "What happened here?" She spoke common perfectly, if she was Sev'ryn she must have studied it extensively. From what the injured man would be able to see through his one working eye she was stunning, her body was in perfect condition. She was a prime example of a perfect human. Still she smiled gently as she placed a finger next to his left eye.
It had turned milky and clouded, there was no doubt it was beyond repair through conventional methods the other had managed to hold up well. Still the gashes were nasty, not well treated and in need of a lot of care. "You should have got help sooner, you are lucky these aren't infected." She collected a small bowl and some form of cloth that she soaked for a moment and looked at him with knowing eyes.
