Pete's Stables

The stables in Gunvorton are a relatively new addition to the place, but everyone is delighted to have them - Shania is very aware that Gunvorton is more cut off and isolated than she would like and the addition of the stables has opened a new avenue. Pete, the owner and proprietor of Pete's Stables is a serious chap who adores horses. He has introduced a breeding program and he is very keen that only the best services are available at Pete's Stables.

The building itself is a clean, well kept and generally organised. Horses can be hired here for travel across the island, or they can be stabled and cared for. There are a range of breeds available and Pete is also more than happy to provide lessons for people, either on equine care or riding lessons. Of course, all of this is dependent on Shania, and he knows it. So, he provides lessons for free for those who are residents here and charges for those who aren't. He's very keen to make sure that Gunvorton generally and Pete's Stables specifically do well and so, he toes the line, follows the rules and is, basically, very much a Gunvorton Kind Of Person!

Pete Wolstencroft
Race: Human (possibly a bit of biqaj in there)
Age: Born Cylus 5th 691
Role: Stablemaster
Skills: Animal Husbandry (Master), Mount (Master), Business Management (Expert), Teaching (Competent) and others, as yet unrevealed.
Appearance: Tall, dark hair and flecks of grey appearing at his temples.
Personality. Pete is a quiet and soft spoken chap who works to make sure that his clients leave happy. He has adopted the "Gunvorton Approach" and provides a good service for a fair price with a genuine smile. He is very keen that his business is successful and he works very hard to that end.

Wes Westerton
Race: Human
Age: Ashan 12th 698
Role: Stable hand
Skills: Animal Husbandry (expert), Mount (expert) and others, as yet unrevealed.
Appearance: Small, slight, very thin and always looking around
Personality: A nervous type, Wes was rescued from slavers by Pete and brought to Gunvorton where slavery doesn't exist. The young man is recovering from a lifetime of being enslaved and is likely to be shy always. He is skittish and tends towards running away from, rather than towards. He is calm and confident, however, around horses.

Sarah Wolstencroft
Race: Biqaj
Age: Saun 12th 689
Role: Stable hand
Skills: Animal Husbandry (expert), Mount (expert) and others, as yet unrevealed.
Appearance: Short, medium build with long brown hair and constantly swirling biqaj eyes.
Personality: Sarah is a Pete's wife and the couple make a concerted effort to always be working and, more importantly, working together. They are very much in unison and Sarah is a friendly and content woman. She will go the extra mile for the clients, to ensure their success.

Horses (including Scalvoris specific horses) are available here to buy (consult the price list and the Fauna repository)
Equine supplies (as per the price list)

Lessons: Free for Gunvorton residents. Tier 5 or 1 WP for non-residents.

Horse rentals are available ranging between Tier 3 and Tier 7 depending on the breed / quality of the horse)

Jobs

There are jobs here - but you must be a resident! In order to become a resident, you must have an interview with Shania and she is very, very picky. Give it a go - you never know!!
