☠ The Envoys of Du'umarat ☠

☠ The Envoys of Du'umarat is an organization fervent in the belief of mage supremacy. They are extremely elusive and are skilled mages and assassins. The Envoys, at any given time, are composed of a cell of no more than 10 members. The group must function very well or at least well enough to accomplish their given tasks, even though some may have mutual problems with each other. The organization is rarely fully assembled in order to keep from being captured easily. The organization is widespread, spanning several countries with agents and cells in various places. ☠

History

☠ Unbeknownst to the citizens of Yaralon, existed a mage by the name of Du'umarat. This mage was a necromancer traveling Idolas and studying his craft. Along his travels, he encountered the harshness of the mundane, not understanding his spark, and thus placing hostilities upon the man. Outraged by the cruelty he was subjected to, he returned to Yaralon and sought refuge in the caves out in the crags. He came to realize that the mundane where nothing more than monsters, beasts lashing out against what they could barely fathom. As such he began to write exerts and documents on the superiority of mages, and where the mundane stood on the food chain. He believed in a world where mages ruled over the mundane, and in order to do so, there would have to be a change. In order to create a new world, the old one had to die. He was convinced that the mundane had to be subjugated or perish in order for Idolas to flourish. Over the course of his life, Du'umurat began to attract followers, and soon he had an entire coven under his control. He would proceed to gain influence and necromantic power till struck down by an agent of Ellisan as she saw him as a coming threat. Impaled by his own his own blade, Du'umurat vision died with him, or so he thought. The following he had amassed continued on, furthering his teaching, and bolstering their influence in the darker, more cabal avenues of Idolas. Many fear them for their brutality and in recent years they have become more elusive than they have been, those that know of them finding this very off-putting and fearing what it is they could be planning. Among the cult, there is a rumor that Du'umurat placed a curse on the sword in his last and final moments. It is said that the sword used to kill him wouldn't be removed until the next vessel of the revered mage is present. Many among the members of the cult have tried thinking themselves to be the vessel of the infamous mage, but none have yet to prevail.☠

Headquarters

Their main base of operations is a cave within Maiden's Refuge that has an underground cave which is connected to the Crescent Sea near the south of the region. It was once used by smugglers as a means of travel and moving goods, but Du'umurat made quick work of that and turned the subterranean pass into a fortress of magic.

Ideology

Beliefs

The main Ideal of the cult is to subjugate mortals and bring forth a world where mages rule over the mundane. They believe that mages are the pinnacle of the evolutionary chain, and as such should be sitting at the helm of society, plain & simple.

Enemies

Mage hunters sit at the top of their hit list, but any who go against the ideals of the cult are seen as an enemy regardless. [/size] ☠
