Appearance:
Kitsune are a type of fox, approximately two to three times the size of a wolf. The kitsune can be found in any color and is known to have exotic patterns running along its fur. This fox’s most distinguishing characteristic is its nine tails. The tails are about the same length as their body and could only be described as mesmerizing. The tails constantly move as if they are flowing through water, even when the kitsune is asleep.
Habitat:
Kitsune prefer large forests where they can easily hide and draw prey away from safety. They are known to be able to survive in all climates but they prefer colder climates due to their abundance of fur. The first recorded sighting of a Kitsune was outside of Viden, where it is thought they originated from. Kitsune can be found in any large forest between Viden and the hot lands in the eastern continent or in any large forest in the western continent.
Lifespan and Development: Kitsune are mammals who have two to three kids per litter. Children typically become independent by the age of ten and are fully developed by the age of thirty. Kitsune can live up to fifty years old.
Diet: Kitsune are carnivores and have been known to eat anything that they can trap.
Temperament: Very patient and extremely territorial. Kitsune that have territorial disputes have been known to stare each other down until one passes out and gets consumed by the other.
Abilities: The tails of the kitsune are essential to its survival. While not magical, the constant movement of the tails and their exotic patterning is difficult to look away from. The creatures curious enough to get a close up view are the ones that end up in the kitsune’s belly.
