The Rebirth Cycle; 720 (Cylus and Ashan)

Hello Melrathi! This will help let us know what sort of effect you are having on the nation and also possibly trigger modbombs. This is the place where we can keep our fingers on the pulse of Melrath and support a richer and more enjoyable RP experience for all involved.

There are two forms below.

The first is specific to calendar events. When you take an event from the calendar, you can plunk a link to the thread you've started in here.

Strangely, after the sacrifice of the Naer to the River Induk of Vynmur, the peoples of Melrath have all forgotten about the existence of Augiery, which was revealed during this thread. In place of that memory, a vision of Vynmur, blackened by shadow appears to them in their dreams that night, laughing in coy mockery. Any Naer who are within Melrath during this event, should contact me for a plot to determine what happens to their knowledge of Augiery. Otherwise, they can presume they were unaffected.

Description: Arriving at a wagon accident Tristan and Ashling rescue a nobleman, Joran Magnus, and his younger broter Jorg
Possible Impact: Renown and contacts in house Magnus, alchemists who may later support Tristan's attempts to establish himself in Melrath. Strange approved the use of NPC nobles before we wrote. So far vague, write up will come later if they are used again. Hoping for renown and future benevolence from the Magnuses.

	On hearing that the man who helped save their family members is in fact an alchemist, the House Magnus invites Tristan (and by extension, his betrothed, Ashling.) to discuss the finer points of alchemy and hold audience at their earliest convenience. At any rate, the benevolence of the Magnuses is Ashling and Tristan's, given their deeds on the road.

Location: Raelia
Description: Brent petitions for a grant to construct a Winter Lodge in the new Svariella Settlement on behalf of Svariella's Chosen. The alternative building he proposes is a temple to the Induk. Svala, one of the Stormtouched of Svariella, makes a grand entrance and claims to speak on behalf of the Induk and that Lady Svariella wishes that funding is given for all the new construction projects for the Svariella's Chosen. Brilliant rainbow coloured light dazzles the hall when the Aesir and Svala's hands meet and it is taken as a sign that this is indeed the Spirit's wish.
Possible Impact: OOCly, this has been taken care of with a modbomb and OOC notes from Strange. I just wanted to share and summarize for other players who might be visiting the Svariella Settlement or who may be interested.

Calendar Event The Great Journey (96 Ashan)
IC Thread Date: 91 - 112 Ashan 720
Location: Melrathi Wilds
Description: Brent is encouraged to join a team of two scouts, two hunters and himself (a cartographer) to participate in the long distance race called the "Great Journey". They come across a few notable locations and get into a tight spot with a beast in the Melrathi Mountains.
Possible Impact: Per the event page, if all three criteria are met then there is a possibility to join the Ydalir at the second rank (Scout). As it has been noted that the faction point system is not currently operational, and because I don't believe Brent would want to limit himself to serving the Ydalir for the rest of his life, I was hoping that a suitable prize could be the -purchase- of a non-battle-worthy Sleipnir (ridable, but an awkward gait due to a couple of amputated legs, previous Valkyrion rider was killed in battle, Ydalir were given the Sleipnir to heal and care for as it could no longer serve the Ragnari).

	Claiming these threads for review, and will be writing a brief mod bomb once the others have gone through the review process. A sleipnir is all but guaranteed to be awarded to Brent, so you can go ahead and play around with having the wounded Sleipnir you've planned. There may be extra awards or consequences in for Brent depending on what I see in those threads.
