Starting Package vs. Memory Threads

I am a little confused on how to go about trying to get my pre-threading history to include an initiation into domain magic. Specifically, I would love to write, IC, the story of my char's initiation, rather than just including it in my character sheet.

How would I go about this? Would I just include this in my journal, for example, and submit it along with my CS? If I thread this as a memory thread, do I include the points in my starting package? Any help is appreciated!

Hello!

I've seen a few cases where people RPed their initiation in a memory thread, and that's how they went about it:

1) They included the magic skill in their starting package and briefly mentioned the initiation in the history section of their CS.

2) They then applied for a Mage Mentor NPC.

3) Once the NPC was approved, they wrote a detailled version of their initiation as a memory thread.
